- MC Best Deal: 2-for-1 is better than the usual +30% sales
- Mechbays Best Deal: Buy any 2-for-1 MC and wait for a 50% off Mechbays sale (save up to $2.10 per 13 Mechbays)
- GSP Best Deal: Buy any 2-for-1 MC tier and wait until GSP is 50% off In Game (save up to $5 per 400 GSP)
- North Pole Best Deal: Buy any 2-for-1 MC tier except the lowest tier and wait for 50% off sales (save less than $2 per bundle)
- The Nutcracker: Buy any 2-for-1 MC tier except the lowest tier and wait for 50% off sales (save up to $3 per bundle)
Maths:
MC often has +30% sales:
- 1,250 MC + 375 MC = 1,625 MC ($1 = 233 MC)
- 3,000 MC + 900 MC = 3,900 MC ($1 = 261 MC)
- 6,500 MC + 1,950 MC = 8,450 MC ($1 = 282 MC)
- 12,000 MC + 3,600 MC = 15,600 MC ($1 = 312 MC)
- 25,000 MC + 7,500 MC = 32,500 MC ($1 = 325 MC)
- 1,250 MC + 1,250 MC = 2,500 MC ($1 = 359 MC)
- 3,000 MC + 3,000 MC = 6,000 MC ($1 = 401 MC)
- 6,500 MC + 6,500 MC = 13,000 MC ($1 = 434 MC)
- 12,000 MC + 12,000 MC = 24,000 MC ($1 = 480 MC)
- 25,000 MC + 25,000 MC = 50,000 MC ($1 = 500 MC)
Best 2-for-1 MC Rate = 500 MC per $1
13 Mechbays (assuming best 2-for-1 MC tier rate):
- In Game (300 MC * 13) = $7.80
- 50% off sale (150 MC * 13) = $3.90
- MRS CLAUS' BAKERS DOZEN = $6
- In Game (300 MC * 13) = $10.86
- 50% off sale (150 MC * 13) = $5.43
- MRS CLAUS' BAKERS DOZEN = $6
400 GSP (assuming best 2-for-1 MC tier rate):
- In Game (1,250 MC + 1,250 MC + 1,250 MC + 1,250 MC) = $10
- 50% off sale (625 MC + 625 MC + 625 MC + 625 MC) = $5
- 2-for-1 sale: $10
- In Game (1,250 MC + 1,250 MC + 1,250 MC + 1,250 MC) = $13.93
- 50% off sale (625 MC + 625 MC + 625 MC + 625 MC) = $6.96
- 2 for 1 sale: $10
- In Game ($5 + $3.48 + $5) = $13.48
- 50% off sale ($2.50 + $3.48 + $2.50) = $8.48
- North Pole Special = $10
- In Game ($6.96 + $3.48 + $6.96) = $17.40
- 50% off sale ($3.48 + $3.48 + $3.48) = $10.44
- North Pole Special = $10
- In Game ($10 + $7.48 + $5) = $22.48
- 50% off sale ($5 + $7.48 + $2.50) = $14.98
- The Nutcracker = $18
- In Game ($13.92 + $7.48 + $6.96) = $28.36
- 50% off sale ($6.96 + $7.48 + $3.48) = $17.92
- The Nutcracker = $18

Nice to see some of the feedback-ideas being incorporated, even if it is only a test balloon for now. Feels like we are gettin' somewhere step by step! Keep going and we'll keep going ... hopefully towards a brighter future MWO-wise!

The only thing I would add to this is; the Scorch is arguably the best Hero in this game.

The shadowhawk is a good pick if you don't own that variant. It can run some pretty fun builds (Triple RAC2) and at $12 the extra stuff it comes with almost pays for itself. The Scorch is okay if you really don't want to wait for a mech sale or that's the only hero mech you're interested in. Otherwise I'd recommend buying the $15 MC gift package while the buy 1 get 1 free gift promo is going on. You'll get 6,000MC for $15 and the scorch on sale costs 3190MC (like $8) leaving you 2,810MC leftover to buy another hero mech with or a bunch of mechbays.

Thanks. I don't have many IS mechs so that's what I'm eyeballing here for a quick grab. That and I like the camo scheme with the mechs too. I already have a bunch of Clan mechs from the last time I played, so I'm trying to diversify a little with the sales going on. I've already grabbed the Locust mastery bundle for a Pirate's Bane.
Thanks again!

in terms of combat effectiveness, only the Scorch is worth any consideration.
in terms of value, it depends where you are in the game. if you're new, the GSP and Premium Time has some value. GSP is nice to kick start a brand new mech to get it up to minimal viability (don't blow all the GSP on mastering 1 mech), and Premium Time is nice for racking up your CBill wallet. For veterans they're kind of useless.
New players can consider the Mech bundles, but for vets they're better off getting the MC 1-for-1 and waiting for 50% sales

I don't like this, it is shady when developers charge a premium for one-time "unique" items that are advertised as never going to be available again and then turn around and re-release them. They do things like this in Fortnite all the time and you should read the backlash they get.

[Almost_Exasperated]
Folks complaining (despite the semi-regular 30% Off sales) MWO mech packages are 'expensive'.
Then MWO introduces more pocket/value friendly packages like this Christmas season, and some folks are saying prices 'barely keeps the lights on at MWO'.
[/Almost_Exasperated]
Anyways, here's to hoping that MWO/PGI gives a genuine push to get new idea/contents into MWO game itself in the year of 2021 !

The 85ton BattleMaster BLR-1G(S) has some amazing quirks, if you are into energy weapons Assaults with some ballastics and some missiles.
+20% Range for Medium Lasers (basically turns them into ER-Medium Lasers, but less heat!)
-5% Medium Laser Heat
~For all other energy weapons +10% Range
+20% PPC velocity
+15% Ballistic Cooldown
+10% Ballistic Range
Quite agile for 85ton IS Assault!

I don't see anything wrong with it. It's not like they are bringing out the 2 extra standard variants, colors, nor cockpit items this time. I remember all too well how PGI made a poll about bringing the mechs back and how it was smacked down. But bringing out the only [P] variants for people who still want them isn't really that bad.

It's been seven (7) real life years since its release in 2013, and I was not around to buy it back then.
