What do you mean? Like reselling the Phoenix Pack with the (P) mechs (BLR, TDR, SHD, etc)?

They considered doing that and polled the forums years ago asking how we felt about it. Ultimately, people raised a stink about how they were labeled exclusive when the pack was purchased so this was unacceptable, and PGI conceded.

As a Phoenix Pack holder, I couldn't care less if they sold it again, more revenue and greater chances of new chassis coming later on is great for me, I don't get hung up on "exclusivity". That wasn't why I bought them in the first place, I think people just like to complain and get upset about things because they feel like they have a good excuse to.

Reselling the Phoenix packs was a big kerfuffle several years back. The overall decision of the playerbase was "No; you said exclusive so keep it exclusive." There's no chance Piranha would risk that nonsense again these days, when the MWO playerbase's morale is fragile at best and their regard for PGI at a very low point.

Old story, recently they did resell the phoenix mechs again as (S) variants.

They had a poll, and the player base said no, so they did not bring them back.

It was pretty dumb of them to sell an "exclusive" pack in the first place. They seem to have learned their lesson though.

I like any mechs that look different. they can keep the phoenix mechs and just give us like 10 more camos. I'd like that also!

This seems like it could be better addressed using bolt-ons then, so that people could apply the special geo to any variant they wanted.

MWO has gotten to the point where exclusivity really doesn't and shouldn't matter, plus you have people putting MWO Packages into MW5 and there's not a lot of issue with it. PGI could rake in a little more or maybe a lot of money from selling Phoenix or Founders due to the buffs and exclusivity of these mechs. Found this picture on the main MW5 discord

1. Phoenix mechs have not returned yet, but as others have said, the Special (S) Variant of the Phoenix mechs had their debut before/during Christmas 2020. These (S) mechs did not have the Loyal Bonus that the Phoenix mechs had.

Anyways, like some folks have said, you can use Premium Time and it gives more Loyalty Bonus than an entire drop deck full of 4x Phoenix mechs. To each his own.

2. I personally feel that Phoenix mechs and/or the Special (S) Variants of Phoenix mechs can return, as some players were not around when the sale happened. It's been years since the Phoenix mech sale. It's OK with me for Phoenix mechs to return, if players wishes to procure these, to support MWO!

There were forum members who would be fine with the plan if it left out exclusives like the P Mechs and other stuff.

All the Phoenix Mechs do have special bundles you can buy in game giving you 1 Hero, 1 Champion and 1 non-Champion variants. Same bundles exist for certain other older Mechs that is why they are not seen in the 'Store' they actually are there under bundles.
Different than Phoenix Pack but available.

What makes the Phoenix Mechs so valuable are their +10% Loyalty Point Bonus when used in FW. https://mwomercs.com...ost__p__6424463

As far as I know, no Clan packs were ever made offering the same LP bonus, so while I can see that the original (P) mechs might not be available... why not a Clan pack with a similar LP boost? It's a little overdue, tbh, and I'm a straight-up IS Loyalist asking for it! (The Clan "Invasion" (I) mechs would be good candidates, imo.)

Also... why not another charity mech, like the JR7-D(S) Sarah's Jenner? I love mine and the "One-of-a-Kind" camo pattern! https://mwomercs.com/sarah

Re: Phoenix Mech special geometry.

I think most of the (P) and Special Variants (S) of Phoenix mechs have slightly different side "fins" that protect the arms/side_torso. Honestly, mostly cosmetic look, nothing functional. The rest of the mech body is exactly the same shape/geometry. Then add a Phoenix Project paint job on top of it. Nothing to write home about.
(Phoenix Project mechs do have 10% Loyalty bonus to FP/CW, via 4x medallions).

The only one worth mentioning, is the Locust LCT-1V(P), which had a slightly larger "full-top-bottom" protective side fin, whereas the Standard Variant LCT-1V (and all other variants including Pirates' Bane) had just the "top-half" of the protective side fin. Nothing much to write home about, maybe it would stop a few more shots hitting your side torso and your arms take the damage instead. Slightly more protection from side shots.

I did buy the Special Variants of Phoenix mechs in Dec 2020, which did not have the FP/CW Loyalty bonus.
