The snub PPC it is pretty much a nerf too short range to take advantage of these changes.

I for one appreciate the irony of having the mechs from the Stryker pack on the new login screen.

There was a reason the early adopter was so stretched out, maybe they'll be mega-quriked to combat these changes?

I think my Jenner IIC Fury hero still holds the record for most nerfs immediately after I was dumb enough to buy one

The Cicada 3C was difficult to get significant damage before, but now its main weapon is seriously nerfed. It isn't like its single quirked ER PPC is meta.
Tried it today and it will probably never be back in the field.
Can't even be a decent annoyance at distance when firing 50% slower than before.
The 20% damage increase does not make up for that.

The Cicada 3C is based around a single quirked ER PPC.
It never really had any heat issues, so that part of the change is irrelevant for this mech, but its only significant damage dealer now does 20% more damage in exchange for firing 50% slower.
It isn't a buff.

You are missing to many shots sorry to say. If you hit shots it's a buff

You can just look him on the leaderboard and jarlist, then read a few more of his posts, and make an educated decision on that.

Do all your PPC builds only have a single PPC in them because that is effectively what the Cicada 3C is?
How is a 50% longer firing time with only a 20% damage boost a buff?

To be fair, knowing what to do doesn't mean you can do it in game. And with the shifting meta, sometimes you just get dealt with a bad hand and with the soup-queue, it could be really bad.

I'd rather just judge the content of their statement.

so my first complaint is the fact that my light ppc urban mech finishes the ppc charging sound like a good 1.somthing seconds before its cool down is finished. really threw me off as i use that audible cue so know when to fire. Plz fix the de-synced sound effect

So basically what this patch does is:

1) Nerf all the PPCs, but take the best one of these, which is the CERPPC (imo), and nerf it a little less, so that it becomes even more dominant when compared to other PPC weapons.

2) Nerf all the Gauss weapons, but take the "best" one of these, which is the HGR (imo), and don't nerf it at all (???), so that it becomes even more dominant when compared to other Gauss weapons. Honorable mention goes to the Light Gauss, a 12 ton weapon which now has a dps value similar to a Medium Pulse Laser, a 2 ton weapon (granted it has more range but ???)

3) ACs become even easier to use and MRMs basically stay the same. (MRM launchers have missiles with varying health values?)

4) MASC gets nerfed. Taking away most if not all the benefits of the module without actually giving it what it was supposed to have from the start, a significant percentage of speed increase; they even get another downside in the form of reduced turn speed while active (I wouldn't mind that if the speed increase was like 50%). If the "technical limitations at the time" are not actually limitations anymore, why not just give MASC what it deserves?
