Good that Timber S provides so needed OmniPods for ballistic run... ;)

PSA: Timber Wolf Bounty Hunter and Dire Wolf Alt. C are now available on Mech DB.

Yeah, I've bought this Warden Booster Pack because of ECM for both mechs ;)

By the way, neither of the mechs have AMS, unless you swap in a torso and break the Set-of-8 bonus.
***I wish that this can be relaxed to Set-of-7 bonus, as I also wish AMS on my Timber Wolf.

The Set-of-8 rule often provides such small (or just "unneeded") bonuses that it can be ignored.

what's the diffrence?

Hero 'mechs always have a unique camo and loadout, always have a 30% CB Boost, and are only ever available for MC. The reason I asked about it, is because up 'til now, (with the exception of the Corsair, that we won't get into), all 'mechs that are supposedly "line troop" variants are available for CB, while all supposedly "one-off" unique customized builds of a particular famous person are categorized as "hero" 'mechs, to keep them distinguished from each other. In this case, the TBR-BH is the unique, customized ride of The Bounty Hunter, and technically should be carrying the same paint scheme as the Marauder of the same name, since that's how the Bounty Hunter painted all his 'mechs. Conversely, it would lock the TBR ECM torso behind a paywall (you could only ever get it for real money) which has been a complaint in the past.

Err...just noticed a possible typo (typing mistake):

Wrong?
"Q1 Supporter" Title, for Warden Booster Pack

Perhaps it should read:
"Q2 Supporter" Title, for Warden Booster Pack

And that is fine by me. 2LpL + 5 cErML build is by far one of the best builds on TBR. Ill just swap the light tag for cERML. Also ECM in RT is fine for me, as i tend to focus my builds on right side, its one downside of HBR ECM being in left torso. Only problem will be, that you cant do the build with TBR S RT omni, but that is something i think ill manage.

Also 4x cERLLs sniper gets even better now, nascaring idiots will not detect you at 1k + shooting their rears...

Also a Gauss, 2HLL, 3 ERML build with ECM will be doable.

Also good that various Variants of the Dire Wolf provide some OmniPods for those Ballistic-crazed nuts out there. That essentially takes care of any real arguments against the DWF-C because people can get their Jump Jets & ECM put together with Ballistics too.

Besides, maybe it's time to watch the Mw2 intro again. Posted Image

One thing.
(this video is still my ALL-time favorite mech video)
I dunno why, but the way at which is the last summoner moving feels so fluent and natural and heavy. I think even MWO in 2021 dont have that mech moving feeling. Why is that ?
Or am I alone ?

But they are usually smaller, lighter or both. This itself is often a significant advantage.

It's because that last Summoner shows the movement of the arms as it should be. In the BattleTech universe a MechWarrior moves its 'Mech's arms as needed, while in MWO all 'Mechs have that infamous "Zombie walk".

In that MW2 intro movie the Summoner moves so naturally because both arms move independently and as needed. This is something you can not see in MWO.

That is correct.
But I meant mainly the legs movement. Thats what always gets me, slow, heavy, massive, yet fluent.
In video it start at 0:45

it'd be better if the quirks were omnipod specific instead of set of 8 specific.

No. Champion 'mechs have a 30% XP boost. Between the two of them, they cover different facets of the income spectrum.

They started the set-of-8 thing to help promote the stock loadouts (with the stock omnipods) while simultaneously trying to balance against min/maxing the quirks to boost a particular build. For example: the EXE-A gets a ghost heat exception for its stock loadout of 3 LPL's. That's built into the set-of-8 to discourage someone from then putting the -E torsos or the -D right arm on it, where you could put those non-ghost-heat LPL's up high, or boat massive amounts of them, or something.

I knew about the TBR, but the DWF-C was a Bounty Hunter build? It's in the record sheets as just another Dire Wolf...

No, it wasn't. The sarna entry mentions lots of mechs for the different incarnations of the bounty hunter, but no Dire Wolf.

I'm going to let Mark comment on the painting of the Elementals, as I'm not sure what he's decided on that. I just know that it has been discussed.

In regards to Elementals and Battle Armor Bolt-ons for other 'Mechs in the future, we've also discussed that and it is indeed a possibility.

Please make it a priority for "coding time available" to add the option to disable the clientside rendering of bolt-ons. While there are some good exceptions, I'm gladly missing out on those to not see any helipads or other nonsense anymore.

Jump jets in the DWF-C will not be permanently affixed to the omnipod?

They will, just like the existing Dire Wolf omnipods with JJs. Omnis have enough advantages as is.

Anyone see the quirks anywhere, or are we still waiting on them to get published?
