Yeah nice.

Hibernal was put out of the rotation because there were some shader bugs originating from old Canyon Network. We'll hopefully see it back in rotation soon.

Definitely approve of the new Polar Highlands, looking forward to seen the remaining maps improved and then some new ones.

One weird thing, is it just me, or does this look like a Fortnite map?

Makes me wish we had a battle royale mode (even if it was 12v12)

Still, would be an interesting game-mode.
Also, escort in an adapted version would be nice: player #25 would be in a mech of choice, the 12 team mates have to protect and the other 12 have to kill. You could even imagine a version where it's 12v12, and 1 of the 12 (unknown to the enemy) is the VIP, and the other 11 friendlies do know... well, let your imagination run wild with that one Posted Image

Looks interesting. Though funny that people still dont get that MWO is player vrs player game and not table top. As for the old polar highlands kill it permanently. Its the worse map out there. Aplines pretty bad still and so is the second frozen, but polar just made bad players worse. Instead of learning the game they just click polar highlands and load up on lrms. My point kill the old polar when this new one comes out.

That the inflexible hate old polar is no surprise.
Making every map a brawler map lessens the variety for game play
New map looks good for NASCAR doh

Match making is why pop dropped so low that merge que was necessary in the first place
FYI

And if you a solo you have to post in Ashes 140% now 130% post, the OP of which surrounds himself with skilled team mates and wouldn't know skill gap if it bit him.

To switch I stopped replying when hes team mate Vex backed my argument about skillgap unintentionally a few posts later after Ashes wall of text post dissing mine.

So enjoy.

Fix Skillgap, maps are nice but not the get out of jail card

Very nice, if hibernal got taken out can we get a re-make of it? But not just a copy of the new or old canyons but something actually different?

Also randomise objectives is a must as well.

...by light 'Mechs.

The one place in the game where horrible LRM-only Slowbros with absolutely no ability to defend themselves from enemy aggression were halfway almost viable...finally gone. Thank the dead gods. One of these friggin' days they'll learn that medium 'Mechs, not assault 'Mechs, should be carrying the lurms.

I for one don't think you have fixed anything. You designed a map seemingly to nullify a weapon system. Without being able to run the map I can't say you have done anything to promote a better game. In my opinion the old map just needed a few paths to reach the center that didn't completely expose you for long periods of time. This spider web of trails will make killing the last light on skirmish a royal pain. I have always from Mechwarrior 1 through now preferred open terrain. Solaris doesn't have any long sight lines and why is it always night? Alpine seems to always end up with the fight in the same place now. The same with Solaris. Polar was the same for the most part unless you were playing assault and one of the teams decide to base rush. I can't stand the new frozen city, hardly any cover on domination, fights usually begin with PPC and gauss shots across the valley. Till someone gets tired of getting sniped decides to rush the enemy and promptly gets gunned down. Leave the old maps, create new ones, develop different game modes. Adapt overcome or be destroyed. As some other have mentioned, being able to decide on what mech you want to take for the map and mode before the drop. Intel would have given me the opportunity to decide my load out before hand. If given the information I definitely wouldn't take LRM load outs to Solaris, nor would I take SRM load outs to frozen city or Polar. Having a 4 mech drop deck to choose from allowing us to choose the load out needed for the map and mode.

looks INCREDIBLE. Love the addition of "roads" as it gives a useful if minor landmark to help learn the routes of the map.

Please disregard requests to keep the original as a "classic" version, I would pay good money to never have to play that map ever again and it was by far my least favorite thing about the game. killing it is going to create a far more positive experience on my side by miles.

First clip barely even feels relevant, excuse me for only skimming, but it looked like only one guy had lrm's on the opposing team? nice frag video irregardless though, good to see a brawler get a good match there! I've had a few lucky ones myself (even in the flea once, was quite surprised) everyone can get occasional good matches in polar, doesn't excuse the maps flaws, esp in QP, or god forbid, solo QP.

As for the second "relevant" one, you kicking the teeth in of guys who barely had much cover to do anything when they get narced feels like a really good point in support of a map that'd add more cover in so you can do SOMETHING.

Am I missing some sarcasm and you're actually happy about the changes? Second video feels more like evidence in support rather than against, honestly. Sarcasm can be a bit hard to parse through text sometimes.

2nd class EMP two hands

Not all EMP are the same level

I don't think i've ever seen you before, name certainly is meaningless.
In any case I don't really entertain forum trolls, but the point needs to be made that killing someone in the context of QP is also... Meaningless.

Excuse me but imo the maps fine just players are flawed playing on autopilot failing to take full advantage of their circumstances.

Player see Polar and already lost before the games started.

I have had many great games on Polar with SRM's, I just don't upload them as it takes ages and I stopped making videos when nvidia made it a requirement to logon to use shadow play

As for the narc comments you made, well the enemy could of made my narc mech a priority target, but thats a skillgap thing as I related to in a previous post in this thread.

But this thread is about the new map, Yay, so lets stick to that haha

Hit a nerve I see, I don't see you much as well, timezones and the fact I stop using this account and now play an alt, to avoid being farmed by high level T1 groups when playing as a solo in the merged soup queue
