The one light mech that needed quirks to be a top mech didn't get anything... Osiris.. poor Osiris.

Hopefully other mechs are in the pipline.. also rescale to Battletech scale asap.. I'll still pilot lights.

The new map looks great.

I'd say 4ML + 4SRM6 + 5 SRM2 is nice

You can go for small lasers too or for ER Small's
in any case it's massive load or rockets with not that ridiculous heat, no ghost hear & all fired at once, so You can wigle nose again

Yeah that was my first thought, as if wall snipers weren't enough of a thing already. But hey at least it'll be easier to get to the little ******** now?

Right because brainless NASCAR is better? Come on...

If anything it just means more of the map is usable, and now we don't have to worry about an ECM light or Shadow Cat running around the walls for 5 minutes after the match is over.

I personally think the changes look great!

Yes, I am aware of builds that exist, but none are all that good Posted Image
You're still better off with other 100 tonners for most of these builds/roles/range brackets.

it’s only the “best” map if you like circling the obstacle in the center. Every. Single. Time.

this redesign breathes life into the map. Nascar will not be the default mode and more mechs will have the ability to use the walls. Yes, most players will not take advantage of the new tactical options the redesign offers, but they’re THERE.

Not recently, for a few reasons: first and foremost, I've finished leveling up those 'mechs, and the ones I still have to master aren't capable of that tactic. But secondly, I haven't seen that tactic be anything more than simply annoying in a couple of years. Sure, it's fun if you can get up there and stay unnoticed, but players are very attentive, these days, and there's typically a sufficient volume of accurate long-range firepower that can be directed at wall-snipers to discourage them from continuing in that role. Rather than having ramps up the outside of the wall so I can chase some Shadow Cat in my Dire Wolf, I'd rather just snipe them from the center platform with PPCs or ERLL, or something. More often than not, I can out-trade anything that can get up there, with something that can't, and can force the wall-sniper to find a different position.

Add to that the prevalence and power of air and artillery strikes, and wall snipers aren't the "giant threat" they were 5 years ago.

Hmmm.... just a weird thing when come to think of it that Hellspawn & Arctic Wolf are getting same armor quirks...

I was under impression that Hellspawn might need some more love ...wil see

Having a less easy-to-shoot CT (at least without a RT gun); holy **** is the Fafnir easy to core out.

Oh! And ghost heat.

The MAD-4A didn't even have PPC spooky heat issues (although I'll take a 100-ton Awesome, sure, why not), while there's 2 Fafnirs starting off with dual UAC/20s, 1 with quad Snubs, and 1 with quad LPPCs (there's LRM and Rocket Launcher ghost heat on Fafnirs as well, but those are less crippling).

It'd be nice if the non-Heavy Gauss builds were encouraged a little more, is all.

I wish some screenshots could have been provided around the center close to the ground where a mech usually is so people could understand that this is not going to be a sniper or LRM fest.

Please highlight the built-in mech's quirks. When the nodes in the skill tree are allocated, it is difficult to understand in the list of mech's bonuses which quirks are original and which ones are acquired. And this is sometimes necessary.

Can you add the old version of polar, canyon and HPG to the private lobby?

The new versions are just lambda maps for videogames, a tasteless pile of ramps and walls.
It is hard to create scenario in such environement. The older versions were telling a story.

Try quad MRM30, 2 each site torso. Left/Right Combo and if you are hot go for chain fire. Can be devestating for slower opponents who can't run away. Sure not meta, but the best build i could come up with.
