That's some lovely hyperbole and a half right there. More top tier content like this please.

CONFIRMED... :(

I don't see the JR7-IIC-Prime image in the In-Game Store either. Something has gone wrong with Patch v1.4.251.0 for sure...

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but the Blood Asp E standard variant has a bit more armor than the BAS-E Special.

Standard:

71 armor each arm

81 armor each leg

86 armor L+R torso

123 armor CT

19 armor Head

Special:

69 armor each arm

78 armor each leg

83 armor R+L torso

119 armor CT

18 armor Head

Someone clearly doesn't know what they are doing.

Did I miss something? Prior to the patch my BAS-E and BAS-E(S) builds were fine, now they are invalid, 8 tons overweight with slot violations in the legs. I reloaded the BAS-E base configuration, the one that came with it, and that works now. But the BAS-E(S) still shows as 8 tons overweight, slot violations in both legs, and too many jump jets:

AC=E=0@1|l^p`0=Z7|1C|oB|l^|l^|l^q`0;Z7|1C|oB|h<2|l^rh0@Z7|6S|QC|QCsh0?Z7|6S|QC|QC|l^t41<Z7|LG|LGu41>Z7|LG|LGvB09Z7wJ0F0F0

If I take weapons, ammo and heat sinks off I still have slot jump jet violations:

AC=E=0@1p`0=Z7q`0;Z7rh0@Z7sh0?Z7t41<Z7|LG|LGu41>Z7|LG|LGvB09Z7wJ0F0F0

What am I missing?

BUG FIXES
BAS-E & BAS-E(S)
  • Fixed Left Arm using LRM15 mesh for LRM20
  • Jump Jets in Legs are now fixed equipment

Before now, the jump jets could be removed. Sounds like the fixed JJs conflict with the removable JJs you still have. Remove the leg pods and replace them.

Can not confirm this. Both Versions have the exact same Armour configuration. You probably have applied some survival skills on the BAS-E that you did not apply on the (S). See below, both chassis have 0 survival skills unlocked.

The armor values look to be equal between standard and special variants of the BAS-E, on my end. Had to drop like 8 tons worth of equipment on both variants to account for the fixed jump jets hotfix or whatever, but after resolving that everything seems normal in terms of armor values.

Maybe you have additional points put into the Survival skill tree on your standard variant?

just for comparison
IS Orion 75 Tonnen 125 Armor
IS HGN 90 Tonnen145 Armor

BAS 116 Armor 90 Tonnen, there are 5 more or few completely irrelevant and if you are not lucky your UAC will jam every time
and if you see a Marauder with Sup Nose and AC20, get on your feet and run away at least 450 meters Posted Image

I always do the survival tree first for every one of my assault mechs, i fill up every node except for ams unless that loadout has ams,

Both of them are showing different values despite having the same nodes used.

Maybe I'll try a repair on the game in case something didn't apply correctly.

Pretty much shows that you have neither played Quake nor Hawken.

Just played around with the new Ice Ferret and it feels really bad now. It getting a 20% damage nerf basically invalidates all ballistics that aren't 2x UAC2's and the UAC jam duration quirk is nearly worthless with the nerf to ballistic cooldown since you no longer have the DPS to brawl down another mech (where the reduced duration would come in handy if you got unlucky) and you already go 140KPH so the ~1s it shaves off is basically worthless since all it means is that you leave cover 1s earlier. Had the UAC jam chance quirk been increased from 20% > 40% or the UAC Jam Duration quirks from 20% > 40%, the 50% nerf to ballistic cooldown would've been a manageable loss due to the massively increased consistency you'd gain. Yes you'd deal less damage, but it'd also feel a lot better to use overall since the lesser amount of jams. I jammed 3 times in a row with a UAC10 in the round I just played and it just felt absolutely awful.

As of now, using Ballistics on the Ice Ferret means you're trading HALF your firepower and going from super high torso mounts (head height) to a single medium slung arm mount while also being twice as inconsisten compared to just using a Cougar which can fit twice as many ballistics and has the same ballistic quirks except a lower velocity. In exchange you're gaining 50% more speed over the cougar which outside of faction play is 100% not worth cutting your damage in half and having ******** mounts. The fridge is definitely going back into the icebox and will be completely replaced by the Cougar.

You'd think Clan tech would actually feel like Clan tech some days, but then you remember you're playing MWO and the hand-wavium bias against it is a cold reality on the battlefield.

Will we be getting a 50% off sale for the quirked mechs?
