Yeah I'm not sure how the Moonwalker got greenlit like this. "Let's take a Madcat B, one of the best all around dakka mechs that doesn't even need quirks, and then give it 2 more ballistic hardpoints!" What could possible go wrong? What's the role of the B now?

They gotta make $ somehow.

Have you ever taken a look at the KTO variants ?!
>>Also, the KTO is terrible and needed something.

It's totally NOT !!!
Especially the KTO-18 or Hero and the Scouting purposed 19 or 20 !!!

I have to strongly disagree.. I mainly play disadvantaged mechs and derive pleasure from making them work.. and I've tried hard making the Kintaro work.. any Kintaro.. and failed. It has waaaay too many disadvantages. No one plays it and it needed something.. hopefully these patch changes will be enough.

Since the patch, 1/2 ton AMS ammo only seems to provide 122 instead of 1500 rounds. Support request with bug description was submitted.

Why does it have to look bad?

I'm just trying to understand.

Am I the only one seeing them?

I would expect more than 100mb on a new fraction.

How much space can a decal take up?

I haven't seen anything other than fine tuning.

An excellent new map, so good that it gives out as much as 45 fps in the active phase of the battle. Solaris City and River City have a worthy competitor for the title of the most anti-fps map.

Lol the MAD II is IS and is one of the most durable mechs in the game.

My bad... Thought you typo-ed MAD IIC which is simply crap compared to the IS ones Posted Image

However...

All MAD variants, either IS or Clan have one huge issue when it comes to their design from the sides : They are one big "Please shoot my Arms and Torso's off as soon as you see me!" target sadly! Posted Image

Quote

And Anni and DWF are two of the best mechs in the game.
Shows how much you understand what's going on.

I understand enough of this game to know that if you are in one of those you are F-ed because you are a huge slow target that gets EATEN ALIVE VERY FAST Posted Image

Quote

Quirks are being used to compensate for bad hardpoints and hitboxes, catch IS up to clan, and in some cases, specialize a variant into some particular loadout to give it a useful role. You can dislike this, but saying it isn't what they are supposed to do is meaningless.
There's no rule that says that, and that is what is being done.

According to old posts made by C337Skymaster quirks are supposed to improve mechs by giving their let's say "less usefull" weapon a bit more usefull quirks like for example one of the Griffin variants :
- 4 x Missile
- 2 x Energy

The energy Slots would then get some kind of Cooldown buff for example or a bit of extra range/less heat/etc. Posted Image

What the Cauldron is doing currently however :
Improve the Missile slots! More Ammo! Less Heat! Shorter Cooldown! And so on... Posted Image

That's just wrong!!!

If the Annihilator weren't insanely cumbersome it would be absolutely nightmarish, as it is it commands enough focus from enemy pilots to make learning it daunting.

The only thing it does good is DAKKA as far as I have seen and all other options are sub-optimal in general, unless you are extremely lucky!

Quote

MAD II != MAD IIC and the MAD IIC was actually my hands down strongest performer during trial mech use as Cadet, paper armor or no - the MAD 4HP may pleasantly surprise me but I'm anticipating there being a lot of PSR down during skilling/learning.

Yeah, I misread/understood there, but compare these two :
- MAD-3R = IS Heavy
- MAD-IIC-A = Clan Assault

The MAD-3R is simply A LOT BETTER!!! Posted Image

Quote

DWF is a lot like the Annihilator in the sense that it's a gigantic attention magnet and can't easily disengage from persistent Red Team attention, with the caveat of being more fragile.

Exactly! Posted Image

Bro. Guess you aren't a tier 5 player if you don't SEE THE FAFNIR being CT'd almost. every. *******. game.

I might become one in a couple of months because of all these crappy teams I am in these days! Posted ImagePosted Image

Strange. Now I checked - I have pictures open.
Let me try to post links like this.
Screenshot from first post: https://ibb.co/T85T62c
Screenshot from second post: https://ibb.co/T4znxjP

I see some other issues there than simply just Group Drops if I am honest :
- Winning Team has better Players in general.
I recognize some of the names Posted Image
- Winning Team has better Mech choices.
- Losing Team has a lot mechs that might be useless LURM builds.
- Losing Team simply has very poor performing Players.

And that's just stuff that comes to mind without seeing a replay of the game Posted Image

KTO-18 with 5 x SRM6 is simply #WINNING most of the time! Posted Image

KTO-GB a.k.a. Golden Boy Champion can do the same, but without the HSL+1 quirk that was added to the KTO-18 last year.

KTO-19 is a great Scout and Support mech which can be used to protect big slow mechs against fast little Light mechs and can deliver a decent punch with the following :
- Streak SRM2
- TAG
- Light PPC
- LFE Engine
- Not sure if it has BAP or not...

Try it and see if it works for you or not Posted Image

Well, the new map appears to be pretty garbage from a 'does this work' perspective. On my first game on it, I got stuck in D3, near the line with C3, on the terrain. Couldn't move for the entire game. Extremely frustrating.

Even if you bought your Lenendary Mechs on Steam, you still need mwomers.com webpage for mini-battle-pass content redemption:

https://www.mwomercs...ends/juggernaut
https://www.mwomercs...ends/moonwalker

https://store.steamp...ndary_Mech_Pack
https://store.steamp...ndary_Mech_Pack

How do I unlock items in the mini battle pass?
  • by playing the mech included in the Legendary mech pack
Do I have to Claim the items in the mini battle pass?
  • The mini battle pass items will need to be redeemed on the Legendary Mech Purchase page and added to your account as you unlock the mini battle pass Tiers.
When does the mini-battle pass end?
  • The mini Battle pass does not expire. You can unlock the mini battle pass at any time once you purchase the Legendary Mech Pack
Where can I view, track, and redeem my mini battle pass progress?

just why?

Those same assets float on the (I'm just taking a guess) on the 4-5 year old map they pulled them from.

-----------
Beyond that, I haven't had any getting stuck issues and at least for me the rolling hills and few bits of hard cover make it a much more enjoyable map to play. Not entirely sold on the bowl in the center of the map, but at least the domination circle is big enough to not have to stand way out in the open to contend.

-My overall pondering is just wondering why we couldn't have a dozen or so of these maps with less of the over complexed, "new asset" and trip hazard details and more flow for gameplay like a large number of us were asking for as far back as beta.

Crank out a bunch more of these kind of maps.

I understand why it's wrong.
I don't understand why it wasn't put on flat ground.

or why no smaller objects were added.

Designing a map is hard work.
I don't expect a hastily designed map to be good.

Fafnir with 8 heavy machine guns Posted Image its a very slow Piranha or in other terms a dead mech walking... anything can out range that.. I assume people will instantly rip them all off but i will try to use it standard hahaha.. So funny dying in seconds.

The Madcat 2 is obviously a sniper terror.. fast and bulk Uac2s.. hope for no jams and you incinerate people from across the maps...Posted Image ahh well the future of MWO seems odd..

Space trees do not copy earth trees, use you imagination, they obviously do not need the ground to grow.
