MWO COMP CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES 2023

Greetings MechWarriors!

MWO Comp is pleased to announce the details of the 2023 MWO Comp Championship Series (MWO CS), a worldwide competition that will determine which team is the strongest MWO team in 2023!

A collaborative effort between MWO Comp and Piranha Games, the Championship Series is designed to serve as the true end game for MechWarrior Online. We invite aspiring teams to take part!

FAQ

When will the Tournament Support Packs be available and what are the details?

The Tournament Support Packs and all of the details are being worked on now and will be available as soon as possible!

Are the in-game rewards per-player or per-team?

They are per-player, including the subs.

What is included in the “Mech Pack” reward?

Ultimate Packs and all the newer packs are included.. Older collections like the Founders, Phoenix, Clan Waves, and IS Resistance packs are not included.

How many games do I need to play to get the base rewards?

The Team needs to play 20 games, then their entire roster will be available for base Rewards.

I don't have a team, what's the best way to find one?

Join the MWO Comp Discord server, you will find many units who are recruiting at all skill levels.

I am new to MWO, can I play?

To participate in Competitive Play you must be part of a Competitive Team, and your account must have completed the Cadet phase.

Invite the MWO Comp Bot

The MWO Bot is a verified community discord bot that can keep you up to date with news from mwomercs.com and in-game events, and also has commands to pull data from The Jarl's List (leaderboard.isengrim.org) and ‘mech builds from MechDB (mwo.nav-alpha.com).

Also, during CS 23, the Call-to-Arms feature for Competitive Play will be active - which allows teams to advertise anonymously that they are queuing in the Comp Queue to facilitate getting matches faster!

Thanks for getting this info out so early.

For any new players interested in playing, you do not need to be hyper competitive to participate. Think of it like a fun change of pace and format.

Will be nice to play this again, but: 60 games for full participation rewards? Is it really necessary to increase the number yet again?
The colours will be nice to have.
The mech? Not so much.

10 games to get 1K MC, 1M CB, 91 GSP and a mechbays is pretty damn good deal, way better bang for game than Big Beach party loot box even that we currently have.

For the lower key teams, it honestly just feels like the old days of quickplay (which is a good thing). 8v8 is a nice change of pace.

Question, Comp Queue teams unlock on Oct 1st... does that mean the locked teams can freely move members to and from the team again?

1. find 7 other people (or up to 11 others)
2. make a team when the comp tab appears
3. meet up on Thursdays and Saturdays when the queue is open and play!

Are loadouts/chassis typically something hammered out between teammates or does the team leader kind of assign them?

Looking to join a team...I dont do discord (there is no reason for all the data they collect from users) ...have a mic so I can communicate. Weekdays I can play a little in the mornings and some more late at night. Can dedicate more time during the weekends but is not sure, I can still be called to work on a weekend
