I'd love to see a new game mode. My ideal would be to include in skirmish or assault support vehicles like tanks, repair/ammo trucks, etc - Numerous weak cannon fodder targets and a reason to retreat/repair.
I'd also like to see more separation of players by skill, even if that means fewer players in a match: I don't consider myself a noob, but I am bad at the game. If there was more distinction between players of differing skill levels, I would still be a loser - but I might not feel like it...
I'd love to be able to put more mechs into use: maybe put myself in the queue in one of a selection of chassis - I don't care which, then the algorithm can pick whichever chassis fits best to make matches faster.
Another way to get more mechs belonging to each person into the field and to create a more target rich environment would be to allow AI controlled mechs - like the old Mech Commander games. Players could cultivate AI pilots to be their wingmen and they could be used either by default or again on a new game mode.
More game modes that are still the same objectives, but with different options would be nice.
As far as performance goes, my only complaint is the time it takes to go from a game's map/mode being selected to steel boots on the ground - seems like getting the players connected, the map loaded, etc takes a long time.
Wow, easy to keep going when you are making a wish list.
An old game (by Sierra I think) called Earth Siege implemented an auto tracking function which automatically torso twisted to align to your locked on target. That would be a great feature if it was easily turned off. Noobs would appreciate it and I feel like this game has a hard learning curve for new players.
And swords. Everyone wants to see melee weapons implemented, but I feel like if that feature was in the cards, it would have been played already.
