Tired of being farmed byP2W legends like AKSUM. Peek corner-he has enough dakka and i don't.
Its very scummy to event while it's still MC unavailable. nothing comes even close to it.

Looking for general ~450m midrange combat heavy-assault mech that can dakka like madman

Is there such hero mech that has fighting chance against OP power creep legends?
Already got Deathstrike and don't really like it. after it alphas its vulnerable.
Bought Jade kite just because some dude ranked it S tier, but have no idea how to use it or build it.
Yeah you can make fun of me, but help too plz.

My friend is playing Dreadnought now with LBX and some lasers and he is super good. Maybe you can try it too.

I think playing for fun is more important, pick some silly mech.

Aksum is very big and easy to shoot.

Aksum is very short and got mounts all up high. its not easy to shoot it at all.
I'd say even 55t vapor eagle is taller in comparison.

dreadnought is a good idea. not too slow for assault, good hitboxes

AKSUM will be good (I don't know if it can be taken as a free reward), although it would be better to buy it with battlepass.

i want something more bursty and don't care about sustain that much cuz i don't live long enough for it to matter

What about "Ultraviolet"? Of course, you will have to buy extra OmniPods.

My Jade Kite build using something unusual for night-gyr,
6x ER-Large-laser sniper + ECM.
Need a lot patience on firing-pattern otherwise you'll cook yourself.
Note, I live in south-east asia where my ping on 200 - 300ms. Ballistic build seems ineffective since what I hit was some kind 'after-image' coz of my lag.

Another advantage is that when running ballistic boat gets old, you can swap OmniPods and turn your OmniMech into missile boat or laser boat.

There are even OmniPods with jump jets available, should you need them.

Your choice, of course.

Pick any 'Mech that you feel that will bring you the most fun. MWO has a lot of assault 'Mechs.

dreadnought
ultraviolent
sleipnir

Are you wanting something that can 1v1 an Aksum?

I'm not T1 so any advice I give is automatically viewed as suspect, but I've managed to go up a Tier this month and stay there and for me at least, mobility seemed to trump raw firepower in most matches. When I see a assault mech boating dakka I try to stay the hell away from its front and try to either attack it from another angle or get some help to focus it down. That said, there might not be a lot you can do if you turn a corner and are suddenly face-to-face with one.

I should add that I did run dakka and other types of assault mechs and while I had some very good matches in them, I got more consistent results running fast heavy mechs.

aside from UAC 20(cuz its unviable without -30% jam quirk) yes i agree moonwalker is very dakka. approaching aksum levels

UAC/20 works well with 4 other backup guns. I agree UACs suck in small numbers without jam chance quirks but with 5 of them you're usually able to keep shooting.

The Moonwalker build I posted isn't used for sustained damage. I double tap and retreat.
