MECHWARRIOR ONLINE LEGENDS
JUNE 2024 PATCH NOTES

Patch Date and Time - June 18th 2024 @ 10AM – 1PM PACIFIC
Version Number: v1.4.297.0
Size: 60 MB
Please note that due to compression differences the Steam patch size may be larger than the standalone client patch size.

Greetings MechWarriors!

This month's update includes 2 NEW Legendary BattleMechs, the Stone Rhino 'Behemoth' and the Catapult 'Ferroblast'. Also this month there are new Weapon Adjustments, 'Mech Quirk Adjustments, and more!

A 2-week Patch Science Sale will go live with the patch and include all the usual equipment, weapons, and applicable BattleMechs. So have fun and 'Mech on!

Updates are subject to further balance changes in the future, so get out there and do the science, and get us your feedback for future iterations.

And now, we really hope you enjoy the patch!
-The MechWarrior Online Team

The packs will sell for $15 USD on the website and will also be available on Steam. Each Legendary 'Mech is a new variant of an existing chassis, has a custom paint job, and a 30% C-Bill boost. Also included with each pack is the new mini battle pass system driven by 'Mech XP. Just by playing the 'Mech, you will earn GSP, C-Bills, MC, Premium Time, and exclusive Cockpit Items, Decals, Colors, and Bolt-Ons! Patch Files (Direct Download)
To make the patching process easier for players with limited download caps, we'll be providing direct download links for the patch file(s) that comprise this patch. This will allow you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, for manual injection into the MWO patcher through a Patch Cache folder.

Aside from allowing you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, on another connection, there are no additional benefits to performing the patch this way; the patching process itself will be the same.

This direct patch download process will only work for players running the standalone client. It does not apply to players running MWO through Steam.

  • Download the above file(s)
  • For sake of ease, we recommend creating a dedicated folder for the patch file(s), such as 'MWO Patch Cache'
  • You do not need to unzip or unpack the patch file(s)
  • Launch the MWO Portal
  • Select the three horizontal lines in the top left of the Portal Window
  • Choose the 'Specify Patch File Cache' option
  • In the field that appears, paste or enter the location in which you saved the patch file(s) and hit OK
  • For example, C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MWO Patch Cache
  • Click the blue Patch button
  • The launcher will now check the Patch Cache folder you defined. If it locates the required patch files, it will unpack and use those files to apply the patch
  • Once the patch is complete, launch the game

NEW LEGENDARY BATTLEMECHS

The new Legendary 'Mechs this month are the STONE RHINO (IS TECH) 'BEHEMOTH' and the CATAPULT 'FERROBLAST' (see images below).

Maybe I have missed them, but what are those 'Mechs quirks? Also, what is the max engine cap of both 'Mechs?

Because this is a variant that uses Inner Sphere technology.

No it is not Amaris Folly it is the stone rhino the Wolf dragoons braught with them to the IS and it was reequiped with is tech. You can find it as custom stone rhino variant at sarna.net

Cant you patch the Stone Rhino SR-7guys?
Still missing the AMS hardpoint from his right torso from the first day apperance.
Or that would be more cool when you give both torso AMS hardpoints.
I would use them in these thunderbolt rainy days.

The quirks for the legendaries seem to be missing. I'm going to try to get those added, but in the meantime here they are.

I don't think 10% Heat is enough to make the Behemoth worth while. It's just a lesser Stone Rhino that can't bear nearly as much weaponry as its clan counterpart since IS **** is both bigger and heavier.

Clan one only gets -5% on the 1,3,4,7 you get 2 times that for your heavier ****. and you get one

It also has -10% Incoming Crit Chance which is actually pretty good. Stack that with skills and you can get it up to 42% reduction in incoming crit chance. Which might make an IS XL viable on this thing.

While I'm happy to see this thing in the game finally I'm a bit wary about actually getting it since it really doesn't seem like a viable built out of the box which is something I've liked about the Legendaries I've purchase so far. I don't necessarily need to spend a few million C-Bills to get them in a workable state.
