Have to arouse the haters and say my fave is the Victor. Don't know why, tons of other mechs its size that are better set up, but there is just so much joy in blowing holes in a guy that thinks he has you since your mech has so much unused potental. If you get to upgrade it with new tech forget it.... the 11D model just makes me grin to field.

I would have to say Caesar simply for its connection with my character's name:

BUT... if my character wasn't named so I would say "ATLAS" ALL THE WAY (self-explanatory)!

My personal favorite mech.

Summoner (Thor) - Mini Papercraft Model

Posted Image

And why is it my favorite? It's a great "All Around" mech with excellent maneuverability, and heavy firepower!

It was quite hard to fashion all the paper pieces to this model as they were tiny. :( but was well worth the trouble. Very happy with the way it turned out. Still doing dry brishing on it..Details, details! :)

I'm partial to the EXT-4D Exterminator - I'd refit weapons but love the sleek design - 6/9/6 is exceptional for 65 tons and it looks cool

Black Knight is best 'Mech.

Besides being protected by a pretty good thirteen tons of armor, it is armed with a selection of ammo independent energy weapons which is highly efficient at all ranges, making it a dependable and reliable 'Mech, capable of performing well in battle even if it isn't fast enough to decide when or where battles happen.
It is also a good command 'Mech, equipped with the communications gear and electronics required to organize and lead multiple lances of 'Mechs, and it possesses hands.

It's depicted as a symbol of the fallen Star League.
It is humanoid in form, making it easy to relate to.
I like it.

Best Mech Ever???? Nova Cat, hands down. Built like a football player, takes a beating while packing a punch. Plasma cannons for range, and its machine guns for ripping apart foes at close quarters. Plus that slanted armor helps protect that awesome pilot that's driving it!

In the hands of a good mechwarrior a Warhawk is nearly unstoppable.

Wouldn't say it's my favorite, but I do have a bit of fondness for the Grizzly... particularly for what it can do to an Urbanmech...

Hunchback 4P/5P
Even Assaults had better run.
But yes, the Stalker, STK-5M is a really good machine . . Only one thing to change:
Swap the SRM's with the LRM's so the SRM's are in the Arms and you can flip 2x2 Medium Lasers and 2x6 SRM's to the back.
That's potentially more firepower out into the rear arc than several medium mechs and even some heavy mechs have in the front arc . .
Newer machines: 100t with 3/5/5 Movement. Nothing says hello like a Xanthos or Marauder 2 to the rear when you thought you were safe in 4 hexes distance behind him ^^

RAVEN!

Such a mighty machine.
I had a badass MW4 variant with 3xSRM4s and 3 med las. I loved that little guy... Great speed and Firepower with 360 twist. So hot. Crushed a lot of mechs with that killer.

The Thorn. I do not know why but I really love the little 20 Ton. (Thorn Here)

I know they will most likely not show up in the game until later but you never know with it being a Star League mech and saw combat during 4th succession war although rarely.

Also I saw a FD redesign of one (Non-MWO) and it looks amazing.

i like the clint, fast, jump jets, and good damage for the tonnage for the years it existed. i like the stinger in the unseen group. the summoner/thor from the clans. from the new art school, the centurion has my eye ATM for just being a beautiful mech..of course that might change as more are released.
