That spot's already taken.
The guy who did this thread? He's with them already. Altough Hayden had the "luck" of being unemployed at the time. Ironhawk, AFAIK, thankfully is not.
One thing to keep in mind is that painting a single 2D picture is a completely different beast compared to making a texture for a 3D model.

Are you saying that you dont think Iron Hawk is not up to the task of 3d Modeling. The man has some serious skill...

I'm only partially color blind to red and green so my experience might be different from others. I can see red and green fine most of the time, but there are certain shades that will appear as neutral colors. Dark greens might show up as black, reds as various browns and lighter colors as different grays. There can also be issues when green and red are next to each other or layered on top of each other, for example a map that's mostly green with red dots or arrows to denote enemies, the red dots or arrows become much harder distinguish from the green areas and can sometimes "blend" in.
If you want a lot more information about color blindness and the different types you can read more about it here:http://en.wikipedia....Color_blindness
Its not technically color blindness. Its color deficency. He can see colors but the way his eyes and brain percive some of the shades and hues is diffrent than everyone else. 1:5 males have a red/green deficency and 1:1,000,000 women. I have a very slight R/G defficency. I had major problems seeing the rockets in DOOM (original) multiplayer because they would blend in to the background.. too many similar hues of brown and green.
Interestingly enough many military snipers are R/G deficent and can spot camoflauge patters a mile away because they have spent thier entire life using patterns to distinguish things instead of colors.....

Absolutely not, I'm just defending Hayden's own work explaining that making textures for game models is a bit harder than repainting a stable shot.

It's actually almost a totally different art. Different programs, skills etc. Knowing one can't hurt with learning to do or working on the other, but programs like Illustrator, Photoshop, Blender, and the Pro stuff are massively different animals.
And even doing awesome repaints is not the same as redesigning static shots of mechs, as some of us have tried to do, or making fresh concept designs. IronHawk does indeed do awesome repaints. I would love to some original works from him, or heavily modded stuff, too.
