Been tryin my had at yalls templates. came up with a few but they all feel.... off.... (besides the fractalization of the camo patterns.)

if I could get some feed back, would be helpful.

Oh, btw, when I tried to do what it showed in the video, on top of what was already done for the Atlas Template(wanted to single out fists, neck armor, and weapons for different texture), it totally buggered the whole template and nothing would work right.

I think part of the "off" feeling you've got is the way the lines of the camo continue even when they're off the 'Mech. It's less of a problem on the Catapult, because of the blob-style of camo that has. On the Centurion, however, you can follow a line of dark green off the autocannon and on to the leg, while the lines on the Stalker appear horizontal on the torso, but continue on the same angle (from the 2D reference of the image) on the legs, when they should actually slant up at the right.

The best way of fixing that would be to divide them up onto separate layers. If you are using Photoshop, clone the camo layer, rotate it to suit a particular limb, then use the polygonal selection tool to crop that new layer down to an area that fits the limb in question. Keep doing that for each area so that the camo flows in roughly the right direction for each section. You can also use the Distort transformation (rather than simple rotation) to get the camo to curve around surface if you feel you've got the time and patience (for example, making the lines bend around the hard edges of the leg). Don't forget to right click on the layer and select "Apply Clipping Mask", if it has been released.

Haven't seen a Raven recently. Since I plan to try one out, here is one I made for my merc group
Bravo Whisky Charlie.

It's kind of a tribute to the pilots of the F-105s and F-4s of the 60/70s that flew ECM aircraft to confuse enemy surface to air batteries so their brothers could get through to their objectives. They were called Wild Weasels...

Therefore, I present the BWC Wild Weasel :P (I'm also kind of a fan of nose art)

Well, like players that choose a House to serve, Bravo Whisky Charlie is a merc company that is allied with Wolf's Dragoons, basically a 'sub-contractor'. I believe this is discussed in the Merc Recruiting forum...Wolf Alliance if I recall.

I understand MWO has stated players may not claim to be the canon units themselves.

However, I am disappointed that was your only comment on my effort. Truthfully, "that sucks" would have been more helpful :P

Don't you even think about taking that piece of artwork down, Hammer! It has beautiful colors, is very well appointed, and there's not a THING wrong with that wolf's head. I know you put in at least three hours of work on this, if not more, and it shows. Placing Adridos on my ignore list has helped me keep my blood pressure down, perhaps you would be good to do the same.

Adridos... stop with the tourrets, man! Didn't your mama and daddy ever teach you that, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all? I can understand one or two comments, but just about everything that comes from you is negative in some fashion.

IMO, this is by far your most impressive piece, Hammer. Of course, I think the Raven's the sexiest 'Mech currently in the game anyways!

Im from Waco, TX. Found the comment really funny. Probably more so due to our towns history. Most folks dont even like to come here (or live here for that matter). :) :) ;)

Keep it on. Great work. Post others. Keep the flame alive. You can't expect quick comments in this thread from too many people these days. I guess we're a busy bunch...

Adridos is just commenting on context/lore as it is a passion of his. He does not mean ill. Let's not be too tough on him. He has a part to play in these forums. "Shire... Bagginss..."

The only criticism I've have of this is that some of your red around the cockpit seem just a little too brilliant, as if they are emitting light rather than just reflecting. I'd desaturate them slightly so they match better with the slightly duller reds around the hip and ankle joints.

Besides that, it looks great. I love the idea of the thin red lines edging the armour plates and the nose art is really well executed. Good job!

To Alex Iglesias: love your new JM. You impress me with your designs every time a new 'Mech come out. They are just a pleasure to work with here... (imagine in-game!) Sorry about not posting timely repaints when a new 'Mech concept comes out though; crazy busy these days. I promise I will make JM repaints within a week or so.

Beautiful camo job, this is up my alley. Pink and/or purple IMO should never touch a mech, unless it's melee'ing it.
Also no cockpit seperate colour schemes, just asking for it.

Thanks, glad you like it. When I do repaints I do try to stick to canonical designs, and the Chesterton Reserves just happen to be blessed with a very serious woodland scheme.
