In that case I agree whole heartedly and personally believe those that make use of Protomechs should be bombarded to dust from orbit.

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember reading "newsflashes" that are very similar to (possibly identical to) the ISN updates the Devs throw our way in the fluff of various sourcebooks for the old B-tech TT game. It may very well be that they are taking mat'l that was already written into the btech storyline ages ago and re-presenting it here. Again, I could be mistaken about that, but if I am not, then their ISN posts are more a way of honoring the old b-tech storyline than anything else. Just some food for thought.

Sadly they've been made out to be monsters mostly do to there rulers, but it's also history fault I mean they were they little guy sandwiched between two super powers as it were they had to be cruel and ruthless to survive. Which unfortunately means means most outsiders who have no clue see's them as being the evil guys.

I don't need CC painted in white, I just would prefer to read the same news with source mentioned, i.e. some pro-Davion news agency, that would dot all the "i"s.

I also was wondering why, with all of the "ISN New Flashes" they merely repoted (a lot of the time very briefly) and failed to include any sources or quotes from different news agencies, factions, inddividuals (military campaigners, planetary government officials, or even the civvie walking down the street). I pay them little attention and think of it all as mere propaganda. We Cpellans know our nation and our oyalties. If anyone wishes to accept these ISN news feeds with blind acceptance, then I say let them come and test the true measure of the Capellan Confederation.

I don't like the Capellans because of the Capellan Solution books. That's all.

That seems a pretty poor excuse to not like an entire nation.
Perhaps you do not like the snow, because it is too cold? Or you do not like the beach, because it is too salty? :)

Well, pardon an outsider but its the continued demonizing of the Capellans that is pushing me, and I'm sure I'm not alone, towards the Capellan side. And the fact that it is the underdog. ;) There's a special charm in fighting for the "misunderstood" side.

So its not all bad, coz I think all the attention could actually net you some recruits. As they say, all publicity, even the negative ones, are actually good publicity.

While i'm not fully decided yet, I just bought CCAF field manual from battlecorps so i'm going to enjoy reading it and learn a bit of its units' histories.

We should also see the good thing in bad news: not being liked means warriors who choose to serve the CC think twice before joining.

The people who enjoy not being liked are a certain breed. I'm not sure I would call that a "good thing in bad news."

It really depends on who don't like you, Dihm, but not the plain fact of "enjoy not being liked" as you've stated. Looking at another certain breed, someone could clearly understand that he'd like to see them only as targets.

But this is a fictional faction based on a fictional universe and settings. I don't know where and how the liking "not being liked" part could ever arise.

OTOH, the people not liking another set of players simply based on the faction that they chose to play are themselves "of a certain breed" : the ones being unable to distinguish fiction from fact. That is definitely not a good thing at all. ;)

That's one of the great things I love about long-time Capellan fans. They're usually able to do one of two things:

1. Separate their own real-life personalities from their preferences in BattleTech faction, or
2. BE TOO AWESOME TO GIVE A FERRO-FIBROUS **** about what other people think of the things they choose to take pride in.
