Got hooked on the original Mechwarrior PC game and I am still hooked, having played MW2,3,4 and Mechcommander

Now sure what to expect from MWO overall, but I am sure looking forward to some drops and kicking some Steiner ***.

Heya, when I saw MWO, I started looking for the old forums to let ya know, but it looks like you beat me here by a couple days. Is Thrakus still around?

Why do I remember you being the leader of another House Steel?
Not sure

Was never the leader of anything except my own group of guys. Now you may know me from another game, which I will not mention because what happens over there should have nothing to do with MWO and if we were to talk about that game, I would have to switch houses just to shoot you.

My first BT experiences were in tabletops and the first MW, but most of my logged hours (easily 3000-5000) were in MW3.
I joined HK in MW3 FireStorm League with a bunch of great and talented people as well as skilled pilots there. I quickly rose through the ranks, and in the span of about six months became WL over all of Benjamin Prefecture shortly before being unceremoniously kicked out (the heavy price of honor -

My play style is tactical and unorthodox: I study my opponent and incorporate what he does well, and throw away everything else. I've done everything from training beginners, to batchalls and trials of possession and rank. I also never mind doing logistics work or other clan-related planning, or filling in a spot in a pinch.
I'm on the fence right now between sticking with Kurita or maybe going for Davion. Maybe you guys can help sway me: why does everyone here play for the Kuritans?

However I have been around BT for a couple decades. Mostly I come from a tabletop background, however I have played all the games except crescent hawk's revenge. (Anyone else remember the sweet mouse control scheme in the demo of MW3 that went away in the final product?)
The force I have modeled my tabletop forces after is the DCMS 11th Legion of Vega, 1st Battalion. The designers of the No-Dachi (3058), where potentially redeemable soldiers are sent after a disgrace.
I reasonably figure I'll be joining the DCMS again.
I honestly like lights and mediums most, with Jenners being one of my favorites.

Back in '85 a friend bought me a game called "Battletech" .
"Oo whats this about then I thought ? "
Well 26 years later , I am still playing the game and have a complete collection of books, novels, and Pc games (including Crescent Hawks Inception ! ) and have played them all to death . LOL.
From day one I became a member of the DCMS and have been a Member of the Legion of Vega for longer than I care to remember (gotta to love the underdog).
Although I have only recently got into the online gaming comunity, I look forward to fighting along side all of you in the battles to come .

It is always an honour to meet another of the Legion.

Yes, I brought a No-Dachi NDO-2KO into a clan mech fight. It gave the gargoyle a bad day.

Dou itashi mashite Roundtop ,
It is good to find a brother Legionnaire here, as I don't think there will be many of us from Vega. The regular units don't like us making a mess and drinking their beer .

Well my Dragon is battle ready and so am I ! Lets see if there are any more of us out there.
So raise a glass to little "Takashi" on our flag and here's to the path of redemption !

Goliath put in more time. Goliath was also waking himself up to be on and training us at 6am PST while we were drinking coffee at 9am EST. For that dedication to training while losing sleep, he gets the nod.
