I would pay for a color scheme that could be applied for my whole group, like suggested in this thread: http://mwomercs.com/...-spend-on-that/

Someone suggested an Urbie bobble-head in another thread.
I'd pay MC for 'mech bobble-heads.

A cute li'l 'Mando with its big head bobbing... Worth at least 500 MC, don'cha think? :(

I'm wiling to pay for just about everything this game has to offer, but not at the games current price point.

As it stands the Yen-lo-Wang is like a $19 mech.

As most good mechs are similarly priced. This to me is just too damn much for any free to play game. Until pricing is redone to a more appropriate level. I am willing to pay for mech bays. Everything else can go blow.

What would I pay for?

Quite frankly... nothing. As the game is and seems to be going, nothing.

Thing is, there is no point in putting money in a game that is limited to pitting a very small amount of people in a very small map and has very few maps to play in. Such gameplay is repetitive, boring and when it comes down to it, outright pointless. Victory just means more funny money to buy.. more mechs... and when you get the mechs you want and max out.. the game is basically over.

This game model simply has a short shelf life. There is nothing to play towards.

IF the devs expanded the game to take place in the BT universe, made ..say... 20 maps per world in the game and a minimum of 10 worlds to begin with....

...and made it so that it is a dynamic game world where players fight for control of planets...

then THAT would be worth something.

Something like a combination of WW2OL's player-based capture/win strategic play in which battles are fought by individuals in separate battlefields and MWO.

Honestly? Right now I would pay to get rid of this ******* language filter. This **** is so annoying. There's no damn filter in-game and I've put more banned words into this ******* post than I've seen in the few months I've been playing the god damned game, and only one of those instances would I consider being offensive and not just colorful language. Besides wasn't the internet made for slandering others anonymously? I think I heard that somewhere.

Seriously can I have an option to turn it off when I'm signed in? **** **** ***** **** balls *** ****.

I will pay for paint jobs that I can apply to all of my mechs, not just one. I would like them to be able to be assigned to certain maps as well. If that was implemented, I would buy several paint jobs, at least one per map. As it stands, I will not be buying any since I already have over 10 mechs and the cost of painting them all is more than I want to spend.

I would pay

To have stamps on the side of my mech to reflect the number of kills or wins that I have.

to have our unit's banner on my mechs. Just like the paint job, though, I will not pay for it if I have to pay per mech.

to have WW2 bomber style pinup girl decals.

to have other designs such as flames or battle scars.

to have cosmetic addons to the mech. Examples: Hands holding something. Armor that looks like it was hastily reapplied. Exposed wiring that sparks. Limbs that obviously looked like they are new replacements.

to have different cockpit configurations (customized, lived-in looks.)

I'd pay for mech designs that were cosmetic. In Star Trek online for example you can buy ships that look different, but have the exact same stats as one you get in game. So you are buying a mech, but it just looks like a different model.

Also, like in some games, I'd pay to add my own Jpeg / image to my mech. Like in some games where people spray paint a logo or image ingame. You'd pay to upload an image that would be used on your mech or as your groups logo etc.

I would pay for a clasic looking centurion, I like this idea.

I would spend a lot of C-Bills and MC on customizing my appearance, but I want to be able to "keep" a paint pattern - not necessarily the colors, but the pattern - if I am paying for it in MC.

Example: Say I really like the Dazzle camo pattern and want to apply it to my Raven. Since I have to pay real money, I expect to get a lot of value out of my pattern. Thus, I would like to apply it to ALL of the mechs I own, which also includes a Dragon and Centurion. So, I buy the pattern once, apply the pattern to all the other mechs I own, and pay in C-Bills to apply the colors to each individual mech. I spend 500 MC (or whatever the camo pattern costs) to unlock it for my Raven and the rest of my stable, then individually spend C-Bills to apply whatever colors I want to each mech.

Also, let's assume I decide to paint over a pattern. My Raven needs to be solid purple for a special occasion. I pay normal rates for a new paint pattern, use it, then decide to switch back to Dazzle camo. Since I already unlocked it, I can freely use the pattern, but have to pay C-Bills to get the colors back.

But other than that I would fund a kickstarter project where you can achieve certain stretch goals and where the base packages would give you something, like premium time, a hero mech or some customization.

For example, if PGI feels that things are a bit tight and the planetary module is lagging behind, I would fund a kickstarter that gives extra cash to PGI so they can add more resources and get planetary warfare going asap.

This hadn't crossed my mind until now, but it's a really good idea and it's something that I'd probably spend a little money on. For example, I think that plenty of us would be willing to pay to keep the clan invasion from being pushed back by a year. I have no idea if it's even practical to do a kickstarter to boost the workforce for specific elements of the game, but it could potentially be a huge source of resources.

3) Music. MechWarrior II had a bonkers-awesome soundtrack. I want another one, but with longer tracks. Give a bunch of stock tunes, and as the musicians make more, make us pay for them if we want to hear them in-game. It could be set to automatically lower the volume when in-game voice is being used, or TS3, or something.

I woul support the ability to purchase in-game sound tracks and the ability to associate those with various stages of a match, sorta like renting individual iTunes.

The devs/PGI could make money selling the ability plus maybe a negligable commission for legally using the song.

I could totally get into a little ZZ top while walking my Atlas toward Armageddon...

I would pay for some mech electronic mech toys. of course mechs at a reasonable price. but not much more. I mean I have to have my money to fly all over the world and spend money on other things. I would never spend one cent to play the game any time with having to pay for it.

How about improved weapons for sale by buying it with cash like a 1-3$ weapon or equipment..

example:

Kurita modified light pulse laser ( 20% more damage, 20% less heat, 20% less weight, 2 slots) $1

Liao STREAK SRM 2 modified (ammo is 1/2 weight and reload times is improved 20%) $1

Pentex Corporation Adv. Medium Laser ( 50% more damage,2 slots ) $2

just some examples...but imagine the possibilities in combat

I'd pay for custom B Betty voice to put in my mobile/gps/pc.
Just imagine this voice saying: "Battery level: ... critical", or " Incoming call".
Just the thought makes me grin :D

No way this is the typ of stuff people hate in a game, it becomes necessary to stay competative.

I'd pay for unit decals. I'd also pay for camo and colors that I could keep and which I could apply to ALL of my mechs, including the founder's mechs and hero mechs. In fact, being able to alter colors and camo on those mechs would not only encourage me to buy camo patterns, but also hero mechs. Lastly, I'd LOVE the ability to pay for different computer voices. Can you imagine how unbelievably off-the-charts awesome it would be to have your onboard computer sound like GLaDOS, Hal 9000, or the MCP?

ahh..
you know, the game my friend and I always wanted to play as we were young was always a comanche(novalogic)-battleisle(bluebyte)-patrician(ascaron) symbiont were you have to fight-conquer-p(l)ay your troops.
And the thing is that such a Game can only be Multiplayer.
