I personally would pay for: Paint jobs for mechs. Cosmetically altered weapon variants. Ability to give your lance a nickname (assuming lances are defaulted to "Lance 1/2/3" etc), this one could be filed under bling - if you get certain achievments in game (think: come from behind victories) you can buy corresponding medals and whatnot. Additional map structures for your unit that would show up under certain circumstances (if you are fighting on your unit's homeworld, or more than 10 players from your unit are on the same planet, or something).

Probably gonna throw as much money at this as possible to support the franchise. If they have any sort of "premium" thing going, I would get that as well.

I'd definetly pay to have our own logo on my Mech.
My brother has drawn a kickass logo for our Merc Corp (playing the RPG/TT). =)

I would pay for integration in the form of match replays being text files that could be exported and played in MW:Tactics.

I LOVE this idea. Having the ability to recreate that amazing battle where you puul off the impossible, or get super lucky (OMFG 2x head shots in a row!!!1One1) would be amazing. It would also be a great tool for tactics development. I would pay a monthly fee for this kind of tool.

I would pay for a way to blast music out over the battlefield and other means of psychological warfare that have no actual effect on game play, just provide a means to unnerve the player.

I so want to play Sinstar's "I HUNGER"

I would pay for Custom Decals and Custom Paint Jobs. But I would NOT pay for it every time I wanted to do an update to my current Decal or Paint Job. If I presented a new one of either I would be willing to pay at a reduced price, but an update to a current decal or paint job should be free. When I say reduced price, I mean like 50% reduced. If a custom texture costs $5 to add, anything new after that should be $2.50. Considering that people who are willing to pay once will most likely pay again; I would say that we need to be "encouraged" to continue spending at a reduced price so we aren't so apprehensive about it. :D

I would pay for custom decals as long as its easy to do because i suck with photoshop and other online games have this going on to but they expect everyone to be a pro at it.

I would like to be able to buy any piece of equipment out right that would normally be available to players that did not spend the money. I'm not 17 any ore. I got a wife, son, and full time job. I don't have the time nor the inclination to grind. The equipment will just help me by pass the grind but won't give me any skill. I like that. I will not support/buy any in game tactical equipment that can't be earned. But then again the devs stated this is the in game video interview. So YAY!

I would pay for being able to record the battles. Then I could share my battles on video, good and bad.

A war room for groups to compare video's for strategy

I think they such have certain points, like in LOTRO. When people can wait month by month and gain some points or pay for a much more amount. These points can be spent for items like paint skins ect. This way they can make money and keep it free to play. ;)

What I can pay for? I'm ready to buy cd(dvd) with this game even if it will cost twice more then all other games. Im ready to pay as I have payed for WoW for past few years. I've ready to pay for a good game, not useless things like decals etc. Sorry.

P.S. If You want to pay so lets pay for saving custom mech's settings or something like it ;)

A Star Wars style holo table to overview the battle, and direct it from above, this would be friggin awesome. Though it might violate some copy rights, but still cool.

I would pay for the porta potty upgrade. Turn around in the cockpit and see the little porta potty sitting there. Just in case dooty calls while duty is calling. Maybe even get a really sexy ladies voice for the computer system.....
Or how about a customizable avatar you can view so you can decide how you look in the cockpit!!!!

1. Cosmetic stuff: Both in and outside of the cockpit. Stuff for your avatar or mechs looks
2. Victory or taunt animations
3. Very distinctive looking statistically inferior Mechs. Like mechs running out of date tech or built for tasks like agriculture or industry and repurposed for combat, weak but dirt cheap to repair. Something everyone knows is terrible stat wise and basically is a bragging right if you can do well in one.
4. Normal in game currency. Straight up normal C-bills that wont buy you anything you couldn't earn through normal play cause they are the exact same currency. This saves the trouble of doubts if a for pay equivalent Mech or item is statistically the same, because you actually buy the same item.
5. As an extra/freebie a badge on the forums 'donater' or 'supporter'
6. Special Affiliation of your Merc corp to one of the established Cannon Merc groups.

Lets face it, online gamers are a vain and competitive group by nature, they like to show off so anything that makes them stand out or give them bragging rights, prestige among their peers or makes them feel special will be a hit.

letting us earn the pay currency as rewards for game events is a nice hook too... nothing tempts me to get cash for the in game shop like having points sitting around just shy of enough to get what I want (and being able to buy in amounts that don't mean i'm forced to pay full cash amount for it anyway and have more wasted points.)

how about real money purchase of a shdow? buy a chopper gun ship or two? Or perhaps tankss? I think i would pay for a pair of yellow jackets hovering along 100 feet above my hatchet man for covering fire. Or have a demolisher following my penetrator into a gun fight. once they get blasted you do with out or buy some more. I think that would kick ***. All arms combat team.

also with no clans yet so the omni mech idea is out so its all stock mechs. what about real money to custom refit your stock mech? Replace the weapons and electronics and the opponent doesn't know what to expect. " bah, a dirty old Jager mech... holy crap! pulse lasers!! ***!!"

MERCHANDISE!

Seriously, when am I going to get a chance to throw money at this project?!

Specific request: Can we get some minimalistic t-shirt logo designs?... you know, for the fashion-conscience. I think some heavily stylized versions of the Forum Allegiance Icons (picture to the left) would be an excellent start. Some of us like to wear t-shirts that don't immediately tag us as giant nerds when we go out in public... just saying :)

An example from the Eve Online store:
