when i first played the tabletop i picked the warhammer because of it weapons and looks....

maybe after 5 or 6 turns, my mech got obliterated :|

the hammer has weak armor.

Love both of these mech's to pieces.. no pun intended. But to many variables to consider when it comes to this discussion, i think more so than ever if it came to a real life scenario.. piloting skills is what it would comn down to. But for pure favortitsim i would go with the Warhammer! :D

In the 3025 materials the Victor is less prone to overheating, but has limited ammo for long firefights. The maneuverability is why I choose the Victor, but if you use them properly, both are devastating in their roles.

The Victor is a solid unit but the WarHammer is such a classic BattleTech unit.

Victor
I love the Warhammer, but an 80 ton mech with jump jets? That just makes me smile. :)

Warhammer. It has been my favorite mech since I started to play the TT back in the 90s

I like the Warhammer more because it's going to be easier to buy and maintain, the Victor - though it can fill multiple roles really well - is still an Assault mech. It's going to be slower over all (turning, starting, stopping, etc) and much more expensive to take care of.

I chose the Victor for two reasons.

1/ We need a jump capable Assault.
2/ It's not owned by Harmony Gold.

point 2 is the more significant one I think

warhammer big time no options. I been a big fan of Battletech / Mechwarrior sence 1989 when i was in jr high. Warhammer was my most loved mech because of its look and payload in City and open field fighting and what it can carry! even tho it tends to over heat if youre not to carefull ><

The Victor definitely because of its capability to jump!

On Nullunit's note, I want the Behemoth Mk I from MW4:Mercs Mekpak. Sure it doesn't exist in canon - but it should! THAT THING LOOKS AWESOME!

Awesome is not even a Heavy Mech, it's an Assault.

You mean it looks Marauder. Which is pretty cool. Not exactly how I'd like it, but close..

Got to say warhammer, I am heavy on the fire trigger, and while the whammy can have heat problems if you don't sink it right if you run out of ammo mid-fight then you are just plain screwed. So for me it is always PPC's FTW. :P
