By this I mean If we are allowed to design our clan symbol,make clan names lets leave out all the latest internet memes.
By this I include ponys,awesome face etc.
I want this game to look and feel like the BT world so if you have a clan and you want to have an alliance with another clan I urge you to ignore the clans which are not in line with the background of the battletech universe.
I can think of nothing worse than seeing a mech with a pony on..

In case you are wondering... I agree... just I don't see a way except to Nanny State the situation, and create the office of regulation names... and then we all wonder... how did THAT name get through?

It's other people's mechs! If they want to put on silly logos on their Mechs, so be it! On the flip side, the colors should be restricted of the entire color palete for the mechs themselves. I don't want to see strategically inept colors like pink or baby blue on mechs. Then again, they'll be easy to see and easier to hit.

to OP, first this name you registered here WILL be you in game name. They will be linking the forum accounts and the game accounts together.

Second, welcome to the wonderful world of the internet, with a free to play model, i think they will have to be flexible, I mean someone is going to start a brony unit, pay 10 dollars to start t he unit say, PGI is not going to restrict what they put aside from the obviously offensive or pornographic imagery.

Quite frankly I just want people to have the freedom to make their mech look like what they want them too. I don't think people should lose too much freedom just because someone else either hates something they like or decide for some arbitrary reason that it doesn't belong because it doesn't fit what you want in game.

Will there be limits? yes. Will people be able to put ponies on their machines? Highly unlikely. After all MLP is a franchise so those ponies are copyrighted. Will people want to paint their mechs in a preferred way? Oh most definitely and like GDL Irishwarrior has pointed out, some will try to paint their mechs to look like ponies.
