Kaemon, I know you were trying to be cute or to impress some people here, but your fail post failed. Technically I voted in the poll on facebook and thus succeeded. This forum is not the poll and I expressed an opinion on what would be my choices. So, that was a nice try. Maybe next time you will do better. I will admit that it was original and refreshing for someone to be creative enough to post a large image with the word FAIL to demonstrate their idea. This was new and fresh. I do not think I have ever seen anything like this on the internet before. Genius I say!!! Somehow I missed this yesterday dangit.. Tough choice for me as I always liked the fire support of the Jagermech, but the Axeman's overall design is stellar as well.

My choice would depend on the mission and overall role needed for its success. In general though, going on prime variant alone, I would choose the Axeman for general puposes.

The Axman just seems to pack a bigger, better punch than the Jagermech. More armor, more firepower, cooler looking.... the Jager just never packed enough punch to bring down an enemy mech of it's weight class without ever getting really effed up.. in my opinion.

I like close combat brawler. The Axman is a nice mech with a cruel design. The head look a bit like a Xenomorph (Alien).
It would be nice to see this beast in MWO!

Already mentioned but saying it again...

Bombardier is just a Catapult in diguise. Same weight, same load out, one trades speed for jump jets (that might not even be the case if it has to use 3025 tech). Why have two of the same thing at the same weight? Maybe in the future when we're flush with designs already but right now it needs to be either a sniper mech or a brawler (assuming the melee is worked out).

Another vote for the JagerMech. Devs say no melee so the Axman's axe is a waste of tonnage. We already have a missile boat in the Catapult so give us autocannons!

hmmm, tough choice...

thing is, both the Jager and the Bomber are both long range support....whilst the Axeman is a close in brawler.

now, seeing as in the FAQ's is says that theres no immediate plans for melee makes the Axeman a moot choice...

personally, i'd choose a Crusader variant in the 65 ton class a more well rounded mech imo.

so i suppose it'd have to be the Jager, though it would not be my personal choice

I had an Axman included with my download of the Mektek expansion, and it did have the problems I mentioned. I'm sorry if I mistakenly implied that the Mektek team was responsible for the poor design. All I know is that it was not in the available list of mechs when I installed the Microsoft campaign, and it was available when I downloaded Mektek/NBT.

Might be NBT, I believe they got a few in, we absolutely DIDN'T make an Axeman.

I suggest you learn to adress the issue in question rather than try and insult (though that was admittedly minor) people you don't agree with., we'll both enjoy our time here on the forums more, and unbased insults tend to make the insultor rather than the insultee look worse.
