Excellent news! After playing yesterday and having huge lag spikes and bugs with mech loadout and all, i was ready to mail you my opinions about open beta and some other issues but you reacted before i had chance to do so.

I really appreciate that you listen concerns and do act on them. Please continue to do so in the future and i think we'll see excellent game when it is ready ^_^.

Ok, huge thanks for all of your notes and comments! On to me getting my MadCat! When the Clans Invade, can you guys see about doing some AI games first? Maybe the best thing is you have all the Inner Sphere factions fighting it out for a year or so, and then all of a sudden, here comes the clanners, and they have superior weapons, superior AI and they are all PvE in the beginning! After a few months of that, letting you balance the clan Mechs, and figuring out how to deal with unbalanced matches, then you release the clanners against us as PvP. This way, you can make some sucky hard battles for us that we can all revel in beating (as clanners try to take over our planets) and then after a while, we find a way to break across the boundaries to getting some Clanner Mechs. We would all give you the time to do the Clanner AI because without the typical mission based PvE game play in this game, getting some of that later would be like drugs to an addict by that time. Also, it would rally and re-introduce a reason to get us all back involved after the non-hard core start to drift away in about a year or so...

Oh, and the other thing. So you might let some Inner Sphere guys get some Clanner tech, but after that, the only way to "be" a clanner is to buy the Clanner Founders Pack. This would allow you to have full access to all Clanner tech, and perhaps offer a few PvE missions, plus a training scenario or two that would let Clanners come up to speed and get the whole Clanner Culture. That is one of the huge things I hope you eventually offer for Inner Sphere too. It would be great if you had some videos with voice overs that gave people an understanding of why the factions are at odds, which families are in place now, and what their immediate goals are for conquest and such. After that, perhaps an SDK that would allow players to develop some community faction content for the game in the old "modding" tradition.

Good Call. I don't know how many people actually canceled their founder's packages, but they may have been premature. Then again today's patch has done a lot to fix of the issues I have been having. The only major one I saw today was with lighting and textures flickering on structures.

I realize you mean well but - holy smokes, NO. No, no, no. NO AI, PLEASE. PvE is boring and gets old FAST. Too bloody easy.

A MW:O SDK on the other hand, now that would be interesting, but I seriously doubt we'll get one. Well, beyond these rumblings of using our own art and/or skins I've heard about.

wow from reading the post here. I coming from another f2p game see that the dev here seem to address the issue in a fast and timely manner. I have been though a closed beta to open and currently a active server that uses the unity player. I for one can not wait for the open beta to see how good the game play. As a clan ghost bear i have really missed my mech.

Good to see issues being acknowledged and addressed.

Refreshing to see the developer's open and transparent approach.

Just make sure you address why the snow map runs so dismally slow for me when all the others sped up visibly after the last update! :-)

Finally, the pug stomping complaints can end and now its even easier to link up against your/another 8 clan group!

Most of it seems fair, however I completely dislike the changes made to the matchmaker: and I PUG most of the time.

Dear Paul and devs, I always tried to "defend" you from the crying and screaming noobs who don't even know what a BETA is. However, I was really concerned about the launch of the Open beta. I was concerned because the game wasn't stable and the lag made it unplayable. I didn't want to see the reputation of this game damage by shallow players that run away at the first bug, and don't even care that this is still a BETA.

I have just read your email. You have done a step back and you explained us your thoughts and idea for the future. I really appreciate this maturity, guys, so I assure you that I'll support you even more by buying new mech-packs (like the 4 founder mechs) if you'll release them and more MC for premium account.

S!

Thanks for the informative update, great to see how you're tackling things and treating a beta as exactly that!

I totally agree with you.
I usually play with a group of friends. We´re five gamer and always playing in group, using Teamspeak.

But: I think that this decision (pushing back open beta etc.) is very timely because, if we go down the way that we are going down, I have serious doubts that there can´t be a common game experience in the future.
