HOOONEEEY, I'MMM HOOOOOME!

Getting a post up now...we still stuck on the 19th?

Hopefully not for long. Got some ideas, but don't have the energy to write right now... Had a long day at work and nearly cut my middle finger off... But don't worry it's still attached. *gives everyone the finger* See!

What did you do to your finger o.O?

Hopefully that post should connect some things. Sorry for Dan sniping at Maligo Sage, he's still a bit cranky from Randall and a lot protective of his mechs and his responsibilities.
Thom, I'm still waiting for you to round out Jack's apology? I need Von Bremen to handle him not being able to read Erin's writing. I've got a halfbaked idea of him hurriedly stepping over and asking for the press (successfully or not) to scrub what they had so far, and then for him to stand next to Jack, reading the cards out over his shoulder, with Jack repeating him loudly.
Also makes for good banter when Jack gets in a fight and gets insults about how he can't even read.

Oh I was flipping the forks around on my forklift at work and got my fingers pinched between the forks and the loadrest. A lead in the warehouse I'm working in did the same thing a few years ago and lost the tips of two of his fingers...

Sorry Homie I didn't know you were waiting for Von Bremen to step in and help you out. I was just gonna chop it up to everyone to imagine how the apology worked out. But I can try to pull something out of my butt real quick.

Well we can roll with that if you want, but since it was being broadcast round the planet, I didn't suspect subtlety was an option xD

Totally. I just thought that since you then had a post with him at Cherry Babies right after it..... I think you see what I'm getting at.

Sorry, yep you're right. I was just trying to peek at Izzy before I forgot to. I just have so many irons in the fire. All of them. All of the Irons in all the Fires.

EDIT: That post I'm happy with :D

I seem to remember making a post about Davin showing up, chewing out Dylan after the firefight but I can not find the post. Man I hate it when that happens.

Yeah not sure what happened... Timewarp? Rift? I was confused when I was reading your post and everything seemed to be magicially hunky-dory... Had to step in and do some GM abridging, and had some fun doing it. But seriously dude, that panic button has to go.

Great post Vodka! I've been wanting to add a bit of the information broker aspect to the game, but couldn't muster up anything that satisfied me enough to post.... Question though... How long has Samuel been doing this?

Loved the post Vodka, that was great. Now to see what Voss will do o.O

IC, it wouldn't make sense to get rid of the panic button - why not just get rid of the Dragoons? I mean, if I had a panic button and had to use it, I would never give the damn thing up if it worked. Of course, if my support team is offworld...
Would also help to bring Dylan in line with the other characters, power wise. No one else has a personal staff of trained infantry, spies, aerospace jocks, mechwarriors, elementals and the Gods only know what else at their beck and call...

I sort of imagaine Samuel has been doing this for a long time, otherwise there would be little reason for people to trust both is abilities and neutrality.

Samuel should be in his early sixties I think with a minimum of twenty of those years being his current career on Solaris, I have a detailed biography for him if you would like it Thom, but I was planning on revealing some more of his history as things progress.

This, Dragoons or any large scale mercenary group immediately associated with a character simply ruin the fun of the RP.

IC logic, why should the characters risk their lives if they know they can get some insanely powerful backup?

I also don't really understand why Dylan, who is performing some reconnaissance mission seems to be doing everything in his power to draw attention to himself(calling in support, involving himself in highly political situations, etc.)

I have to argue against that Vodka, having a hero char who can MacGyver a way out of just about anything with plenty of resources at their command is fun - I play one. But I didn't bring Spear to L&D. In the Clan Jade Falcon RP it works, because everyone is playing such a character. Plenty of room for us to pool our resources and figure things out - plus, fighting a guerilla war against the clans demands a pretty high starting point. But in an RP about Joe Bloggs, the down on his luck mechwarrior and John Brown the aspiring mechwarrior to be who's finally made it into enough money to buy a run down Flea, Mary Sue the Archon to Be and Commander of the 1st Donegal Guard who's married to Air General Marty Stu, in charge of the 5th Corellian Air Wing doesn't have a place.
There's a time and a place for every character, this one didn't fit Spear (My existing BT char) so I made a new one. Truth be told, so far I enjoy playing Jack more, but that could just be because I've had more time to flesh him out.

And yeah, I know that last was definitely not a BT reference, or a SW one, but I don't actually know any BT air units...

No worries Sparks, I think most of us are slowing a bit this week!
Also, quick OT note, I'll be handling your run in with the clan mech soon, I just need a reply from Sloth first.

I think that one night, my account timed out, forgot to repost, and then, posted that. Only one infantryman as support, though he is an elemental WITHOUT power armor, and I have only been trying to add depth to the espionage game. Dylan was trying to gather intelligence on the state of the Sphere, and he figured a good place to start, was Rainbow. Also, he does not have airsupport, and nor does he have a car waiting, just a single lone elemental, with a DMR. Call it insurance, though, now that Dylan has used it in public, Erin, and Von Bremen, will be suspicious and will question him about it, so now, he might have to stick with a cellular phone.

A lone elemental for backup is still pretty extreme infantry support :)
What's a DMR?

Designated Marksman Rifle, it is a type of weapon used by infantry trained to take highly accurate shots at any location. As such, some M14 mods would be considered it, another good example, Halo: Reach, the rest with their Battle Rifles, were ****** at best, no marksmanship to them.
