Okay, let's see...

For most of us, its the morning of April 20th, 3031.

DeMarkus Frankfurt (Thom Frankfurt, GM), "Mad" Jack Churchill (RogueSpear), "Vulpes" Frederick (Vulpesveratis, and temporarily an NPC while RL makes him AFK) and Bertie Walker (me, Sparks Murphey) have joined "Team One" of the newly formed Rainbow Stables, a multinational stable on Solaris with the overt goal of fostering inter-House cooperation, and the covert goal of assassinating one of their own to spark another war that leaves House Steiner dominant. None of the PCs are aware of that yet, though.

DeMarkus is on his way to a match against Min "the Merciless", a deadly and well-ranked MechWarrior, in the Dump, a slightly dodgy arena out of town.

Mad Jack is facing down a PR wake after accidentally crashing his UrbanMech into a broadcasting van during a practice session, injuring several media crew. He's currently reconnecting with his youthful side by watching kids vidshows with Bertie's six-year-old daughter.

Bertie is in deep financial debt after scratching from a tournament to take his daughter to hospital after a nasty fall. She's better now, but he's still got hospital bills. Rainbow have promised to make that go away.

Izzy Hunter (Jeremy Hunter) has just joined Rainbow to try to make a bit more money than she does as an exotic dancer. She's still mourning the loss of her lover, Sora.

After narrowly escaping a brush with an assassin, Dylan Wolf (guardian wolf) has set up a match against a Panther pilot, with the victor taking both 'Mechs.

Messenger, tea-maker and sim-jock Vilgot Voss (Vodkaviator) (and not a part of Rainbow) has been pressured into working for Samuel the information broker, of Samuel's Tea House.

Elisabeth O'Connor (ChaosGrinder) has continued the arduous process of restoring her Stalker to active service, a long, slow grind considering it's current state.

There are a few other characters around, but they've either not posted in a while or have actively mentioned that they'll be away for a bit.

I'm sure you guys are more than set on participants, but this sounded to cool not to at least make a character for. So here is my "if i had saw this earlier, i totally would have played" Character sheet. I'm sure no one needs to be told to have fun, but have a blast anyways = P

Name: Arron Harold Baxa
Callsign: Roman
Date of Birth/Age: January 1st, 3009. (22)
Current Mech: Hermes II ( named Frumentarii)
House: O’reilly (Marion Hegemony)
Physical Description: 5’9, 174 lbs.
Hazel eyes, short chestnut hair.
Military History: Periphery raider and bandit, No formal military education completed, “raised” in the saddle by his father, served with the Hegemony Military (Pirates) for three years. Three confirmed kills. Two against the Magistracy of Canopus during a pirate raid on the world of Vixen and one against the Free Worlds League on periphery border world of Lahti.

Open: Born into the patrician class of the Marion Hegemony, Arron Baxa wanted for nothing. Raised within the elite social class of the bandit kingdom, Arron’s traditional education was provided by the best tutor his father could buy or blackmail into their family’s service. However, hero worship of his father (a retired mechjocky and pirate, turned senator) and a fascination with bootlegged copies of decade old Solaris VII semifinal matches, pushed the young man quickly towards the cockpit seat.
Using a fair amount of black mail and underworld contacts Arron’s father gifted the young man with a mech of his own, a salvaged Hermes II, on his 19th birthday. The young man quickly earned a position with a state sponsored raiding party. The young Baxa took well to the life of interstellar marauder, clashing with forces from several nearby realms. Life was good for the young man, until his father backed the wrong faction in the Senate. His parents on trial and his families holdings seized, Arron has made his way to the gladiator world in hopes of winning a fortune large enough to return to Alphrad and repair the damage done.

Deep: There are few things less respected in the Innersphere than people who hail from the Periphery, and even on Solaris VII, which attracts pilots from all walks of life, pirates are at best distained and worst loathed. Add in the fact that Solaris City houses almost as many people as his homeworld and the Arron Baxa is starting to lose hope that he’ll ever find his fortunes.

Note: Like many patricians Arron has an appreciation for roman history and a basic understanding of Latin, though his pronunciation is awful.

A bunch of the players are either on hiatus/NPCed or haven't posted anything for awhile..

Just try to post once a week, no godmoding (that's my job) and give me a heads up if RL starts interfering with your RP time..

I'm pretty decent and understanding when it comes to my players.

And if there's any questions or if you want to do any sneaky stuff behind the rest of the PC's backs, don't be afraid to PM me.

Very good opening post I thought :) Added a good feel to your character and really fit his background.
@Thom, I'll field the grocery list when Bertie and Jack are done talking, or around 9/10AM. Figure the stables is still unsure whether or not we'd be awake, and since we've not done this before they'd want to explain it to us.
And don't worry, I have Vulpes' entrance all planned out...

I'm back, and we still have not made it noon. Note to self, to not make posts so long. Makes the rest of the time boring. And Thom, the last one, Chris Dezene, is NOT, I repeat NOT, in any way what so ever related to the WD. Since Mac is not with us.

Gammadin, that was an awesome post. Thanks for adding the BRB I thought it was an excellent addition. Is it cannon (or is it canon?)

Thanks, Thom. I was worried i'd added to much "flavor text" and not enough real content.

.Its not cannon I'm afraid. I combed all the old edition Solaris VII books, and there is no real Mech hanger in Burgton within walking distance of Kalamazoo. So I pulled the BRB out of thin air.
