Good afternoon gentlemen and ladies, if there is any.
With all the LRM OP shitstorm I would like to give a proper feedback on the recent patch and get a 2 cents of comments for devs to consider.
I will try to follow the rules of patch feedback listed here:
http://mwomercs.com/...patch-feedback/
Which you should also consider in your topic.

Before posting a new thread, do a quick search to see if the issue is discussed in another thread.
Well the questions I would like to discuss are somehow mentioned in other topics, but mostly I didn't see them put on the board.

Please divide issues into individual threads, rather than bunching bugs together.
Semi check, as what will be discussed will have some complex issues in it.

Try to include as much relevant information as possible such as:
Qualitative description of the issue: What does it look or sound like versus what was expected?
So let's start.
The thing is, that all the recent patches and meta game has more shifted towards a low to no-brainer gameplay to be most favorable.
Weapons:
Don't get me wrong, I love LRM and I completly agree, that they should be a good fight initiation tool, support weapon, but It is not a skill-heavy weapon. Yes you do require understanding of it, and you should know about positioning and how targer-lock works, but overall the skill cap is so low.
Right now LRM is a really heavy core weaponry (no LRM OP flame here please), which makes the gameplay pretty dumb.
SSRM were also in the same group, but the recent patch changed them, so I'm not going to discuss them here
Universal upgrades:
In BT was mechs that are role heavy, as they were able to carry unique equipment.
AMS - This is a great example. Because it is just so available the system was heavy nerfed, but it is acceptable. What is not, is that it is a no-brainer, you just install it and feed ammo, you can't even turn it on or off.
Here is a quick option just from the back of my head:
ECM I'm afraid would be pretty similar from what Info we have heard, as it would be mountable on every mech, removing some role-heavy gameplay.
The list could go on.

Steps to Reproduce: Did the issue require a specific series of user steps to take place before it appeared?
Just turn the game on, get into battle and see.

Reproduction Rate: How often does the issue occur when performing those steps?
Now more often then ever

System Specifics: Is there any hardware you are using which you believe is responsible in terms of compatibility?
This would be relevant to any config.
------------------------------------------
So to sum up.
Currently there is a tendency for a game to favor a low skill cap play (I'm not talking about those guys that complain that mech that DOES NOT STOP WHEN U RELEASE W!! please) and as patches are coming the pattern grows stronger and stronger.
I would like to adress the devs and sincerely ask them to concentrate game on more skill-requiring sides of the game.
Thank you for your attention.
Everybody that thinks I'm wrog are welcome to post below with explaining why.
TL;DR
Currently gameplay heavy favors low-skill gameplay.
Recent patches have not improved regarding that matter.
It would be nice if game would be skill-benficial.
