Needs to be put back in. The heavier the Mech, the less shaking would be a good approach.

yes finally the streak spam no longer shakes your cockpit. so when you actually have to aim and your enemy streak cat does not, you'll be able to even use ballistics at close range against it.

Its not just you. Any pilot worth his CB's used shaking to gauge damage.

Bump.

Please bring (some level of) cockpit shake back. Right now I have no idea I'm being hit with LRMs unless I happen to look down and see my armor flashing.

The cockpit shake before was great for immersion.

Agree, the incoming missiles warning sign does not make up for missing screen shake.

Please put it back in. Maybe just not as much.

I agree, without the shake its hard to even notice your being hit by lrms with other things going on.

After the patch I have noticed that missiles apparently do zero impulse when they hit my mech. While the new "incoming missiles" indicator is nice, in the heat of a brawl it is usually not enough.

Without any screen shake feedback, I often find myself taking several LRM volleys to the rear during a brawl (especially against streak armed enemies) before I am aware that is why my armor is being decimated.

Perhaps the previous value was too high, but from a gameplay perspective it provided useful feedback, and from an "awesomeness" perspective it made the game feel more intense and immersive.

I would like to formally second this motion. I also know we are not alone on this position.

Holy crap, bring it back. It was fine the way it was. Seriously. I'd be happy if it was toned down a -touch-, not turned the hell off.

I agree with this. Bring the screen shake back.

It was perfectly fine last patch; if a little weak considering how Artemis missiles are hitting and hurting us even more.

I found by looking back in a recorded video, that I didn't die from just suddenly being hit but that I was being hit for a good 7 seconds and completely oblivious to it.

People were abusing it by firing single missles at folks and their mech's were shake until they were dead. Alot of folks would know what i mean when it happen to you, couldnt see anything until the shaking was done and the mech was on its back flopping like a fish. Maybe add where your mech would shake so long in a certain time frame, then have a noise or a light come on inside your mech to warn you of more missles coming your way. Anyways something had to be done.

Agreed, bring it back.

I've been chained by 3 AC/2's before and it's annoying as hell, painful too... but it feels right.

I am missing the screen shake as well.
Even a nerfed screen shake would be preferable to no screen shake.

Yea bring it back, if you get hit by lasers you see them but with missles you just dont notice.

Why removing it in the first place? did people complain? if so reduce the effect a bit, but its an important indicator, shouldnt have been removed in the first place.

Yeah, please bring the shakin' back.

I also really miss it and can't truly push my oh-****-button without it!

edit: The best solution would probably be to adjust the intensity of shaking equal to mech tonnage and dmg dealt for cannons and missiles. The moar dmg you deal and the lighter the mech so increases the amount of shake.

I think there are certain bigger problems they need to tend to first and for most. Not saying the issue shouldn't be addressed, but just saying, there are bigger problems at hand.

I didn't even know I was being hit by missles until I noticed my arm was gone. Artemis puts missiles into a very high trajectory so they come in right on top of you, so you cannot see them incoming. The incoming missle warning light looks too much like the base cap to give you any real warning unless you are staring at that part of the HUD. I have been rocked by chain fired ssrms (before impact removal), but if you look at your reticle it stays where you had it targeted before you started getting hit by missles. The hit detection is necessary to let you know artemis fired missles are hitting your mech and the impact jarring would seem realistic as these are high explosive warheads.
