Could it be that they implemented the TT version of critical hits...

Where you rolled 2d6 and a '12' result gives 3 critical hits or a limb blown off????

If so, it seems stuff like each "tick" of damage from the DoT lasers and each mg bullet count or critchance rolls, meaning things will 90% of the time just explode instantly if you are hit by lasers after your armor is gone.

i didn't die instantly to the next hit, though i did basically anyway due to orbital strike ac40 lrm retardation, but i had a standard.

i'll try this with an XL mech and postback.

also i presume he means you lose your armor, your CT has .000005 hp left, and dies to a single machinegun bullet. if not then i dunno what he's trying to say.

EDIT: yeah, you die instantly in an XL catapult k2.

also worth noting is shooting a commando with 2 ac10s at 60m and hitting dead center does no damage, nor was i able to damage the awesome's head after he overheated and took 40 to it before starting up again. neither of them were moving, so it couldnt've been lag.

lovin this patch.

It IS in fact lag. Lights are strong in the current patch because as soon as they're above 80kph they only get hit by half of anything shot at them (/lagshield engage). It's the same issue with PPC's, the hit detection is terrible.

Funny, your video shows it happening to the raven getting shot at 1:30 seconds.

Hey, golds.
Can I get my apology now? I am due.

I want it to have at least two sentences.

I died in the trials twice instantly, no hits or missle warnings and then just BAM, on the ground. GG.

Stop being trolls geez... after armor is gone there is still internals to go through. You all know this. This is happening to mech without XL engines also. So far it seems to be happening only to Atlas's, unless its happening to others?

Just happened on my jenner, dropped dead when yellow all over due to lrms, armor was low on rear torso and suddenly dead with no internal hits. I was wondering why it happened since my mech was still yellow not red anywhere, didn't think of screenshotting it I will next time.

Don't be an ***. Its not happening to me either in my endo steel Atlas. But just because its not happening to you or me doesn't mean it isn't affecting other people.

Unless your big theory is everyone else is just pulling an unfunny joke about this? Seems unlikely.

Or, you know, that was an artemis LRM hit to the cockpit.

You can clearly see the raven just go pop.

I can upload a quick video after I play a game of unloading round after round of lasers into an Atlas internal and the internal structure only slowly changing. It's not instant or 1-3 hits like you say, but I think it is reduced.

The raven did pop the second they got through his armor.

Yeah it seems tied to either certain mechs or certain accounts. Did you buy the mechs that are popping this patch or the previous one?

I don't know if engine crits are in, but XL's really do seem to just pop as soon as the internals get touched.

Yes that is how XL engines work. This bug is something else... I dont see it every game mind you. just occasionally.

Please make many quick videos, against many different mechs, so we get more proof to either. We can all agree mechs die way, way, way faster than they ever have before, and since PGI aren't gonna do anything, we might as well figure it out for them.

Because their internal testers are too busy testing out the camo painter that we didn't get today.

There are missiles hitting at the same time. And many of those are Artmis Equiped.

I'm not being an ***, no one else offered up a video... watch the entire thing.

@vass, naa bro, it's more fun to watch you try to get appology's. There's nothing to apologize for, I'm running the upgrades, clearly take enough damage I "should" have popped with this bug, and did not.

If there is a bug, it's not as stated, or it's very VERY situational.

You know what I truly love about this place? That even when something's this obvious, gold syndrome prevents the fans from even considering that something might be wrong.

Not even for a second will they consider it.

I expect written apologizes from every single one of you who's made even a passing attempt to insult me after this.

Not really. Are you gonna bet money on this, and blah blah, so I can have the satisfaction of them admitting they ****** up really badly, mister gold?

You do realize that every time you use this insult you sound like a petulant spoiled child who is jealous that someone else could afford to spend more money than you did. It's bad enough people perpetuate founder hate, now we got to separate ourselves by pricing tier as well?

You might have actually found a bug, too bad it's getting lost in your attitude. And people wonder why the forums are garbage.

It could possibly be a bug from the mechlab.

@Jade you don't use the auto-repair feature.

@Vassago, do you use it?

It could be that thing not actualy repairing the internals after the first match you get cored, so you drop with reduced internals your next match.
