Hey... someone started a The Northwind Highlanders post...
If you are in a Mercenary unit i guess you will be able to work for whatever house you want.
But so far I do not thing the Mercenary units are in game... just the great houses.

I have seen some units for the Gray Death Legion and also some of the Wolf's Dragoons i haven't seen any Kell Hounds ones yet.

Its just an Idea i thought maybe we could work on our foreign relations by fighting a common enemy we could have House Steiner with all their Atlases to come help the Davions, Liaos, and Mariks against the snake.

I started playing battletech years ago around the time MW2 came out. Also played the pen and paper version of Mechwarrior(its an RPG)
I chose house Liao because the first time I looked at the map I was like, "Hey who is that little guy?" Then triing to find info about Liao was mostly about how they were "everyone's enemy." Most of the people I knew played Davion, so I played Liao, Liao tactic, talked like a Cappellan, and started beating them. It is the only house worth playing, living and dieing for.

The only MW games I have not played are MWLL and MEKTEK. Only Online regret I have is not getting more involved with the online community since MPBT 3025. But I was off the grid for most of the last decade because I didn't own a computer.

Background:
Well, my background is pretty slim. My first contact with Battletech came in form of MW4: Mercs trailer, when I fell in love with Cauldron-Born. I never got any demo, or anything, just those few seconds of awesome rampage. A few years later, we got Mechwarrior 4 and then MW4: Mercs. I played it, I liked it, but it did not do anything besides that. Also, missing Cauldron-Born put me down.
Then I had Battletech abstinention for a few years, broken by the announcement of Mechwarrior reboot. The name of the person we were going to play was the most interesting for me. I wanted to know more, I searched a lot, but nothing. Then I forgot about Battletech once again. And then... Mechwarrior: Online. After that, I played the Mechwarrior 3 and 2.

Reasons for joining:
Well, I always want to support the underdogs, play the least played class/faction. I learned a bit about factions, picked my favorites and got recruited by our fellow warriors.

Yeah i could start a thread on the House Liao forum board if you want it to talk about Liao vs Davion. I will get out of you guy's hair so you can continue with your introductions good luck in your fight against us you're gonna need it. A fan of Battletech ever since childhood (my first game ever played was MW2). I've played mostly all MW games (2,3,4,4Mercs) and every single MechAssault. Never read any books so i'm not too familiar about the whole history, nor the factions, nor the conflicts that have occurred in the Battletech Universe (thought I would like to learn about it, feel free to recommend me books about it). At my core, it's always been about the thrill to pilot giant war machines blasting one another into oblivion.

Joining the CapCon: From reading the faction descriptions, they have the politics i seek. It's a nation based on it's people and loyalty to the state. I fully respect that and am willing to, as a pilot, lay my life on the line for the CapCon. Furthermore we seem to be the underdogs which i usually tend to lend a hand to. The Capellen mechs also seem promising, I wouldn't mind supporting my comrades from a distance with the long range capabilities of the Catapult. Looking foward to fight along side all of you in the up coming game

Other interests: Hockey (yes, i'm canadian, no i don't live in a god forsaken igloo...), Italian card games, reptiles (currently in college looking to become a herpatologist, a scientist on reptiles), obsessed with video games, kind of a problem to be honest -.- (don't get surprised if u'll see me stuck on MW:O for the whole summer) and women. (still single tho :3)

I finished my secondary education at age 16 and am currently finishing my final year at the Capella War College. Pretty soon ill will graduate and be commissioned as a Lieutenant (Sao-Wei) in the CCAF as a Mechwarrior.

All my life since my childhood on Ingersol I have dreamed of piloting mechs in combat against the enemies of the Confederation and fate willing soon I shall have my chance.
