What if you did not meet the criteria for the current round of invites, but for the next round they change the criteria and you now meet it. In that case it's not like it's a flat out rejection, it's just a rejected for right now. It wouldn't make sense to advertise your rejection in this case.

As for the goons, MWO is not really a game thats conducive for them. They're power comes from their ability to zerg/blob. Matches will always be 12v12. Sure they can all join a single faction, but they still got to win those 12v12 matches to matter. The average goon player is definitely not known for being more skilled than the average player.

I didn't realize at the time that I wasn't supposed to mention beta participation, for which I've apologized to Mason - most other betas I've been in don't keep the existence of a key itself secret. Beyond my excitement for the game, I didn't mention anything not already public knowledge.
I don't expect this game to be a 'sandbox' like EVE, so your primal fears about Goonswarm are unfounded; we'll be much more like our Tanks clan than our EVE alliance.

This is actually extremely false. 5 years ago in EVE, this was true. However, that was 5 years ago. Goonswarm has one of the largest and most deep skill pools in the whole game.
This is also true for World of Tanks. The majority of my A-team have been playing together since Beta, and we all are in the top 3% of players, with 5-6 that are in the top 0.5%. Also, Tanks clans top at 100 people. High skill in low numbers is what we are perfectly suited for.

You are correct sir. There is nothing that states that the criterion that are being used are set in stone and Bryan Ekman clearly states, "Yes, everyone is a potential beta tester." Everyone, means everyone.

- Yes, we have criteria.
- Yes, you are added in batches based on those criteria.
- No, I can't tell you the criteria being used for obvious reasons.
- No, you ill never see a rejected button. Jeeez that's just mean.
- Yes, everyone is a potential beta tester.
- Selections are 100% random if you meet the criteria.
Thanks for the info Bryan.

Show me a clan who can beat me and I'll show you a liar. Pretty sure I've been sitting in Paris since last October, and still haven't lost it
Ah, Paris, the ARAB Riviera.... I think you already lost it without even noticing, anachronistically.

He would not have received a key based on his performance in other games or his status among the larger video game community as a whole. He would have received one for the same reasons anyone else received one, he fit the bill for closed beta.
Also: In before massive amount of ****** one use accounts made by Goons.

I've seen someone else mention that jokingly in another topic of yours, and I understand there are a lot of questions, but why not sit back and chillax for once?
It doesn't seem like we're going to get more info than we have, and there is really no point in going crazy about this whole buisiness if all you can really do is wait...
Pretty much this^
I was a huge contributor in the MW2 and MechCommander communities, did the whole Grand Counsel and ADL back in the day even did some of the first 3D mech art over at Dropship command...I'm not in the beta and I'm not sweating it...in fact I'm really enjoying just hanging out with fellow Mech-heads again, when I want to play really bad I just drop into a game of LL, I know we all will be playing in a few months.

What exactly did you say to make you "bomb" the questionnaire?
You also should keep in mind that only.. What, 1500 invites were sent out in the first wave? There will be a lot more. I assure you; if I was a dev I would want as many people bug testing on as many platforms as possible before going gold.
