Mechlab is displaying duplicate (erroneous) selectable entries for Machine Gun and Large Pulse Laser on the IS side.

Hi, most times i do not get any "new reply" email to this topic.
I fixed some of the bugs you guys reported, i will check them over the next couple of days and try to fix them.
I'm also currently in the progress downloading the Test client to check if the new skill tree info can be extracted.
If this is possible, i need to have a look how the tree actually works and how this could be integrated to the site/lab

Edit:
- Fixed MASC Bug
- Fixed Double Laser and MG
- Updated a lot of pricings. (thx Tamerlin)

The SkillTree stuff looks doable. Need to check in-game how it actually works.

Hi, i have a question concerning the DPS on energy weapons on the website (which is awesome btw!)
I don't understand the DPS values for energy weapons.

DPS = Damage / Cooldown (right?)
For example: DPS(AC20) = 20 / 4 = 5;
For some reason the DPS values for a lot of energy weapons don't seem to fit.
I am almost sure, you have already talked about this topic but i couldn't find anything.
So why do the values of the energy DPS diifer from the usual calculation?

Energy weapons have a "duration" so this value is also used in the dps calculation.

Hey Smurfy, could you be a dear and tweak your tool to also show valid quirks on the mech even when changing omnipods as well as weapons affected, even armor values that already takes account of armor quirks?

Like if an Urbanmech has +7 leg armor, it would show up as [n/35] instead of [n/28], and on the left would be the quirks, and would glow yellow depending on if there is a weapon that utilizes said quirks.

Hey Smurfy, with the new mechs coming out (Uziel, Annihilator, Cougar, and Mad Cat Mk II), could you make layouts for them before they are released in July?

I, and many others, love to make builds and experiment with mechs on your site, and with the new tech and mechs, we are dying to make builds for them.

I know that you don't have armor values (per component) for the new mechs, but you have total armor values, and could distribute it similar to another mech of the same weight (or even just leave it off).

Just a suggestion coming from someone who really wants to make Mad Cat Mk 2 builds.

I've been seeing people on the help forums lately being confused about the Clan ERPPC. The game's weapon tables list its damage as being 15, with a tooltip listing the splash damage effect. However, the tooltip isn't clear that the maximum amount of splash is being included in the weapon's damage numbers, causing some confusion - and the conclusion that the site is wrong (the number actually is wrong if you hit an arm or leg, if I understand the weapon mechanics.)

I don't know if you'd have to do it manually, but I'd suggest changing the table's damage number to 10 and then making it clear in the tooltip that extra damage is done as splash. =)

I've been having an issue where when I click the + or - sign to adjust armor points that the value will runaway instead of changing a number of points based on how many times I've clicked. Is this a bug or something odd going on with my browser.

i'll be the first one to admit that i'm hooked, addicted even, to building and tweaking mechs so i hope that managing this website isn't too taxing on you, i literally have thousands of bookmarks and builds inside your beautiful system.

not sure what changed, but everything seems to be back to 100% apparently? might want to check the logs anyway.

Thanks for your reporting and yea, i was playing around with some firewall problems at the time of reporting.
I found a fix for the problems and now the server should be working as before. (might be even a bit better, since the new host is faster than the old one)

A small thing, but in the mechtooltip, in the 'Ammunition' column, if:

SRM AMMO + ARTEMIS IV
SRM AMMO + ART. IV (1/2)
C-SRM AMMO + ART. IV
C-SRM AMMO+ART. IV (1/2)

is used, the width of the column forces the line to wrap on Chrome, IE, and Firefox.

Example1 Example2 Example3 Example4

Setting the column width maybe 10-15 pixels wider would likely fix this.
