TITLE - 4 FPS BUG IS WORSE NOW

Now only 2 or 3 games until it occurs, was 5 to 7.

FFS, no headway on this. Do I have to re-log in every game now...?

Skin related, everyone suspected it was skins before, but now with it getting worse after the addition of the new camo skins it must be.

Why was this post moved by a moderator without adding info that was in the title? The post made no sense without the title - ******** these idiots.

Performance in-game dropped significantly.
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Game runs normaly in menus, in-game (particularly combat) FPS drops to about 5-10 and fluctuates significantly depending on how much activity is happening. Previously it ran 20-25 at all times.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Video settings are Medium, never changed them.
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
Average FPS in-menu currently: 40, previously 40. Average FPS in-game ranges from 5 to 15 depending on scenario. Previously ran solidly at 25 and dropped slightly during heavy combat.

  • It's the worst it's ever been. I lagged so hard twisting my torso I simply quit the game.

  • I twisted my torso. -20fps compared to last patch, -40fps compared to closed beta
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
  • They are the same.
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
  • current patch: 60 at menu, 35 at start of match 7!!! twisting my torso. Last patch was bad, but back in closed : 60,60, 45-50

  • 955be, 8gb ram, gtx460
  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location
  • 15mbit down, 5 up. Sudbury,Ontario, Shared fibre optic connection.
You guys have a good game, but holy sh*t it keeps getting worse.

So we state theres very very major fps issues being caused within the game, and what do they do? ignore it and shove another patch out the door and make it worst...

same horrible performance with new twist.
Sound now drops out which is nice.
Its important to have symmetry in a gaming experience.
SO now the game stutters horribly visually and with sound

i have a hight end pc (core i7 , ATI HD 7670)
the game was smoth until today path, its just umplayable, fps go down below 5 in intervals
they ever did internal test?

edit: the affected map is forest colony snow, forest colony normal seems ok

Just tried the post-patch gameplay... my conclusion is the same as all the rest here... huge performance drops from 30 - 40 to 8 - 10 with all things equal (same rig, same connection only a few hours apart). I also noticed, perhaps and sadly, that a lot of the stutter and lag is caused by ******** betty as the additional processing needed at each action point causes a spike in processing... perhaps there should be an option to turn ******** betty off, for now, while you guys fix it?

pls do some for a tactical playing... the "tactical" gameplaying is confusion.

Of the six maps currently in rotation, two (Forest colony and Snow Colony) give me single-digit frame rates, making them unplayable. This has been the case since last patch. I didn't play at all last week because I didn't want to tank my stats. I thought I'd try again this week, but, of the 13 games I've played tonight, seven were on Snow Colony.

I can take the hint, PGI.

I too am frustrated that the performance issue remains (got mine from totally unplayable to almost unplayable with clean install, new processor cooler and some radical overclocking).



In defense of the devs I want to say that all the new contens this time seems to be from artists ans sound guys. Those guys can't do anything about the poor coding that has lead to these performanse issues, so don't blame them for releasing that content and not a performanse fix.

1. no change still crappy fps avaerage 16-22 fps

2. any time other mechs are on screen , even worse in combat

3 motion blur - low
resolution 720p (1280x720)
effects- medium
object detail - medium
post processing - high
shading - high
shadows - low
textures - high
AA - post AA
and yes changed to these settings after open beta performance was great before open beta (28-45 fps)
now i get 16-22 average and 12-14 during heavy combat. changings settings even further has NO impact on this

Looking at my spec you see i fall in between the required specs and the recomends, i feel i should be able to at lest run this game at 30-35 fps avaerage (durring action ) with mixed medium/high settings at a resolution of 1600x900, i'm not asking for a mircale here or expect the game to run fast on very high settings with resolutuion of 1080p . just want it playable for settings hat are in line with where i fall in the required and recomended hardware. as it is it's not even playable at teh lowest settings , this issue is NOT just a dual core issue either.

5. i'm on a 5meg dsl line in central texas ( i get about 768 download and about 386 upload speeds for real world figures)

not blaming the art and sound guys , i'm in school for game art design myself i know they have nothing to do with performance issues , i blame the coding team for not having more to throw at a patch yet . it's been 4-5 weeks since performance dropped again on the game they should have something by now .. my classes are 5 1/2 weeks long and often we have to put whole game demos together in some classes bug free. not that i deal with code usually in those team classes i am on art or sound , but still our student coders can work that fast with less people. jsut seems they arn't focusing on the performance issues at this time to me.

Performance is worse. Down from the 11/20 patch, which dropped it from a acceptable 30fps down to a average of 10fps.

All graphic settings on low. Does not seem to make a difference though between low, medium and high. Frame rate remains on average 10.

My performance has steadily decreased. I was able to play with some settings on medium a couple patches ago with a FPS of 20+ consistently however for the last 2 patches I have set everything as low as possible including resolution and I m into single digits in combat. I have and E8400, 8 gigs of ram, and a AMD 6850 which I know is on the low end of things, but it was capable of running things well a few patches ago. Hope the dual core optimization is improved shortly.

I don't even know where to begin. I've had a server disconnect issue at the main screen after a game, every game, since at least the prior patch. This newest patch "features" sound that breaks up/drops under during slightest bit of action, a screen that never loses the overheat/shutdown effect unless I manually shut down my mech, and missiles that go off in all kinds of crazy directions. I know its "beta", and financially I'm contributing very little so far, but good lord, the game has gotten progressively buggier and more irritating to play with every patch. I really want to love this game, but you guys are making it hard. :)

Edit: And holy jumping jeebus talk about match making fail, just played a game of 8 to 5 where the 5 team (the team I was on) was not only out numbered but GREATLY outweighed. C'mon.......

Update: switched graphic settings also to high and medium- no major improvement. Tweaked OC now running Futuremarkat P12273, not the best out there but far from bad. Will test MWO and report back...CPU cap?

Extremely detrimental. Given my hardware specs I was already before this patch not very impressed by the FPS i was getting. Other current games run on maximum settings, sometimes even with higher than max driver forced settings, in the range of 70+ and 100+ fps. MWO never achieved this for me. However this game is still in development so it was no biggie running in the mid 30s to 50s. Now after this patch the games at best runs in the 30s and mid 20s with dips going below 20 fairly frequently. Then at times without any warning it becomes entirely unplayable running in the 20s and dipping into 10 below.

Seems random. Sure some areas are worse than others (tunnel, caustic etc), but that would not be an issue if the game would perform better in general. Sure if i play crisis 2 or my heavily moded skyrim the frame rate might depending on location go down significantly..we are talking from 80+ into the 40s..not from 30 to 6.

My video settings have been the same and have always been the same with any game. Maximum at 1920x1080

A lot of dips now so this is very difficult to measure. Post patch 25-35 (with drops below 20) / Pre patch 45-60

Framerate is between 50-60 but constant jumping during combat, appears to be lag but lag could not be that big of an issue over multiple matches with connection and only occurs during brawl combat.

Combat, specifically close combat with multiple mechs. Marked change from 1.4 series patch.

Lowered from Very High to High.

60 lock in menus. 100+ when game launches. 50-70 with lower end occurring during combat.

Patch did not affect performance in any way. Still a slideshow when moving or in combat.

Video: 1280x1o24 full screen w/ v-sync. Video setting at thee lowest via options or with a custom config make no difference. Changing resolution makes no difference.

FPS: 60 in the mech lab. Mid-30's after ~15 seconds in a match (single digit until then). Stays mid-30's while standing still. Any movement (forward, torso twist, etc.) and frame rates drop to sub 20's. In combat (close or not) and FPS drops to single digits).

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.16Ghz
8GB Ram
geForce GTX 560ti 2GB video card
Windows 7 home 64-bit

Internet: ~7mbps up/1mb down, US West Coast

Game has been unplayable for the last 2 patches.
