Many will know his name already so no need to break the name and shame rules. Said guy has already been named in a subsequently locked thread for the same issue.

Just played a game where this guy spams:

'Been playing for 6 days now and PGI do nothing. Have made 26 million c-bills in this time. For further details and to buy this bot refer to xxx website.'

(where xxx is a notorious website, again that doesn't need to be named.)

I've raised a ticket but this issue has been discussed in previous locked threads. Question is why is it still happening?

Because they are making the game instead of dealing with cheaters.

Their time will come, but for now it seems they have bigger things on their plate. Those players are frustrating to deal with, but honestly, they havent ruined my gaming experience. Just slighty tarnished it.

It's still a minority of people that do this stuff. Most of the time, that afk has crashed out or some other buggy thing.

When the bot is self promoting it's own sale at a third party website I'd have thought PGI would be concerned.

You could say it's in direct competition for sales in terms of in game money making (AFK bot farming vs purchasing premium time and playing legitimately.)

edit. Actually, as sad as it is I think were all kinda used to having the odd suicider/afk'er these days and begrudgingly accept it. It's the promotion of this activity that really gets to me.

Im sure they are concerened, but they are probably weighing how important he is and how much damage he is doing up against all the work they have to do.

There also isn't an easy button to simply fix the issue.

I am pretty sure that the "afk'ers" don't actually earn anything from the match ... either cbills or xp ... so being afk is not a way to earn while not playing. I think most afk'ers are server disconnects of one sort or another ... and they are an issue for that reason.

On the other hand, a bot that can suicide run into the opposing forces ... fire a few weapons, die, rinse and repeat ... would be very difficult to distinguish from some of the new players playing the game and thus would be hard for PGI to police.

I have seen lots and lots of folks wander off on their own, over the ridge in frozen city, into the cave ... go the other direction from the rest of their team on any of the maps, in big, slow mechs (not scouts) ... and whether they die first or die last it doesn't really matter since the odds are good that they will die by either being caught by several enemies or by not being in the fight with their team mates. The funny thing is that they are usually not actually trying to die ... though I don't really know what they are thinking when they do this ... I think it is the feeling of "invulnerability" that comes from piloting a 100-ton battle machine :P

The advertising for the "bot" in this case is a bit hard to stomach ... though it could simply be a scam ... if the person gets some folks to pay them for a non-existent bot ... they won't be getting their money back :D

Probably this ^

I wonder if the guy running the bot knows it's advertising that it's in use? Or maybe the website is just something he set up to take credit card numbers...

Or it's the same guy that was "proving his point" with the TKing and now has found another way to rile up the player base. Honestly that's my guess.

Sue there is. They change the system to reward peformance, so people don't get anything from rushing the enemy and dying in 20 seconds.

Ive seen my fair share of suiciders, it bugs me when it's on my team, makes me feel bad for my enemies if it's on their side. Overall it doesn't ruin my experience ingame, rather it is just adds to the challenge of "How the hell are we going to win this one"

LoL, never seen this guy but only 26 million in 6 days WITH a suicide bot?

I just play the game and can make pretty much the same amount.

I'll be sure to report him if I do see him however.

With time and effort I'm sure most could surpass the 26 million in 6 days of legitimate play. This uses neither and has a negative impact on other players enjoyment.

dont thinks so
i think founders get around 150k for a win after repair,am i right?
so that would be 175 win with each game 15min avarege -> 44 hours --> who the hell plays 44 hours a week?
