I could understand paying to unlock a color for your account (buying a huge tank of paint) and buying patterns for each variant (a computer stencil that paints the mech). Right now I have no desire to actually buy a paint scheme because if I change my mind and want a different color later I have just thrown away $5.
Buying colors would allow us to buy colors to match our unit when we play with them and still switch to something different when we play solo.

Ultra AC/5 has 25 rounds per tonne.
Is this a design decision or an oversight ?

Rhonda Snord's Highlander with pink paint job and a speaker system come to mind.
And to name a few of the others:
Jenner JR7-K (Grace)
Dragon DRG-2Y (Yoriyoshi)
Atlas AS7-WGS (Samsonov)
Catapult CPLT-C1 (Jenny) "Butterbee"
Cataphract CTF-2X (George)

Do you think that these time frames are achievable taking into consideration the current state of the game or would there perhaps be merit in considering delaying the invasion for a year in order to properly implement new game play modes, maps, Community Warfare and bug fixes?

Perhaps if you rented the color for a time. Even if just 24 hours but maybe a week, and you can switch between your paints while you have them. But if they expire you're stuck with what you have.

- Is it planned that loadout changes will effect the appearance of a mech, i.e. if a medium laser is replaced with a PPC will the 3D modell show an appropriate representation of the new weapon?
- Are the following customization options planned? Moving hardpoints to a different location (i.e. from Torso to Arms) and/or removing hand and lower arm actuators to free additional slots? And if yes, will those changes have influence on the appearance?
And would like to add this additional question:
- With the release of XTRO: Succession War I Catalyst introduced new designs for some of the unseen/reseen mechs, namely the Wasp, Griffin and especially Marauder. Any chance we will see those classic and epic mechs in the game based on the new art in this new XTRO?

I think they should do AS7-D Atlas Danielle. It trades away SRM racks for the extra arm lasers...and there is only so much weight/heat capacity on the mech so you wouldn't be able to do anything way OP, that wouldn't have some substantial weaknesses to it. Plus its not like WOT with gold ammo, and where shells bounce off tanks...anything can be competitive against something else with a decent pilot in this game.

I don't count the Cicada, which is a light in the medium weight class, just as the Dragon is a medium in the heavy weight division.
Mediums should make up the greatest number of mechs per unit of type.
In terms of role warfare, Lights have been slotted with Strike/Scout/EW
Heavies are the weapons specialists.
Assaults have huge diversity with huge loadouts at the cost of speed.
It seems the new toys seem to favour the assaults and lights, with the heavies having a huge advantage in terms of specialising.
Mediums are meant to workhorses, filling in for roles that are missing as needed.
Right now, they are too slow for many functions, lack the armour of heavier units, have no EW capability, and are in many ways the most vulnerable and toughest to find a true role for.
Is this deliberate to promote specialised role warfare?

If it was bug free it would be godly. Would also be good in PvE.

European servers. When will it happen, could you please give us more information on the progress? PGI introduced some great ballistic Mechs, but many players simply can't enjoy them since the ping is way too high to hit the enemy on common basis. Are we really stuck with LRMs, SSRMs and lasers to be effective?

Q2: Whats your plan's for critical hit's on systems like actuator's sensor's, life support etc? how much will be able to be hit and what should we expect to see happened when there damaged / destroyed?
Thanks!

And, does Sensor Range add to the range that an ECM protected mech can be spotted?

I was thinking about Clan tech ... and how badly people would want this ... and well generating money for PGI ....
Clan Invasion being imminent, it is really not hard to imagine that there are some traces of Clans to be found around the universe ... think of Clan Skunkworks, aftermarket or merc stuff ... some technology that is being developed ... As we all know many would sell their closest familly members for a Timberwolf or a Stormcrow ... or even a decent (larger) UAC's ... so why not use this....
Make a lottery, once a month, where players can win.. for example... a Timberwolf... that recon stumbled upon on a mission to recon an abandoned Clan testing facility .. not only that but think also of other things like "unavailable" weapons and modules.... SSRM6?
Prizes don't have to be just clan tech but can be "hero mechs" or anything desirable in the game ...
so basically ...
1. you announce a lottery and prizes...
2. players can use a button in the main menu to pay, lets say, 500MC for a ticket and join the draw... only once!
3. you randomly select winners and publish the results on the forum
4. prize is automatically added to the winners inventory...
5. for worries about P2W ... maybe the "test equipment" found could have a somewhat "lesser" stats as in real life.. for example ... Timberwolf with engine/turn rate limitation..
I dont think this should be difficult to achieve right? Lottery should be no problem ... new mechs however could be a problem - don't know how difficult it is to add them to the game...
Also I wouldn't think that this is a P2W neither ... u need a great amount of luck for this ...
So what do you think?
I'll crosspost this to general and try to make a poll to see the reactions ... who knows
