Ideally, they should be the ones leading, since they have the advantage of voice coms, so even a simple "we're a pre-made, so follow along please" and then calling priority targets would suffice.

I play about 80% pre-mades, and I ALWAYS do my best to relay whatever is going on in voice chat. I'd say about 75% of the time, people go along with it. However, only about 10% of the time do people give us the same communications. I can't count the number of times that a pug player has gone out scouting, and reported nothing.

This is not an issue of any specific group (pugs or premades) not communicating, but all groups. C3 Integration can't come fast enough.

it is often a safe assumption.

I love it when the "don't go into the water, it's a death trap!" advice is given, and then all the pugs in the team run into the water and die.
No, what bothers me is when another 4-man premade says that's the plan and then complain when we all die.

We just go to choke point and wait the pugs to the same.
1/10 its the rate of responce over any command, so I just dont care, I just use them as meat shield

That's because people get "scouting" confused with "ramboing."

When you're scouting properly, you shouldn't fire a single shot. You should find the enemy, report their location, and get back to your team.

I just close my eyes, drool for a minute, then roll my face accross the keyboard. No one seems to notice.

I play in a group of 4 and our "strategy", if we have one, usually is reacting to own teams movement - following where rest of the team goes and possibly securing one unguarded flank. I'm quite pessimistic to random players skill, and I know this isn't a nice feature in me. It's still experience talking: 95 % of everything is sh*t. What I have learnt from multiplayers where are groups or platoons in random matches (like WoT) is: never give instructions or good advices. Those will a) be useless 95 % of time and b ) backfire (blaming group for teams failure).

Majority of players ignore chat anyways and sometimes it feels like even most obvious suggestions wont go through. For example I tried WoT today after a long pause and saw bunch of teammates rushing to a trap. "Dont go there, enemy awaits you there and artillery as well, def that point before that corner instead". A minute later all were dead, bombarded by artillery and enemies picked them one by one when they tried to push through the bottleneck. Main point: lack of common sense, lack of trust. It's not like everyone should be Sun Tzu's but come on...

It's no use to waste time writing something people wont read, and even if they read reacting to enemy movement and chatting requires time which can be used more effectively in chat in TS3 with friends. Main point: time.

Ability to draw to map would be nice, like in Guild Wars. Attack lines, enemy positions, and so on. But well, I know what these random guys would write or draw... sigh. Main point: lack of maturity. So don't implement that feature.

This will kill the game, this right here. If you can't even BOTHER to try and educate people (regardless of assumed lack of success) there is no point in hoping this game survives.

I try pub wrangling every time I'm in a group with friends. I tell them where we're going, and try to tell them who to shoot. Sometimes they follow, sometimes they don't. Sometimes WE change OUR plan to stay with the four other people. You might win with a foursome of good players, but it is a lot more likely if you can at least get some of the other four people on the same page.

Not trying at all because "everyone else is stupid, won't listen, or tells us to fk off" is a terrible attitude. There are lots of jobs in the real world where you don't get to give up because your customer base is 'probably stupid.' Sure, this isn't a job. That just means it will DEFINITELY fail if people don't help the lesser skilled, as opposed to maybe failing like a business.

There are always people on every match who want to learn. There may only be one guy out of the four randoms. Ignoring that guy means it is more likely he quits and gets replaced with another raging 12 year old who wants to rambo.

Well that's perfectly fine for you if that's what you find fun in the game. Alot of people want to play the game itself and not have to babysit some random people who will likely just ignore you anyways.

If people want to learn the game from people playing in premades they can quickly browse the forums and join one of the many comms servers that are generously provided by people in this community. If they don't wanna be on comms then they don't want advice from those who are.

While the pug type players complaining about premades is annoying it's not likely to ruin the game. Ruining peoples ability to play with their friends in a team based game will or at least hurt it quite a bit.

Well ... communication is key. But - sometime I just think: Maybe not so much :)

Common thing thats happens: The game starts and the team goes to the right hand side of the caldera on caustic - just one single atlas starts to move along the left side. I'm like: "Buddy move ur metal *** over to the rest of us ..." *silence* 10 sec later: "They're all leftside." ... the rest is history.

I just don't get people like that. It always makes me wonder ...

We use team speak so we don't have to type. Don't like it join a house or clan so ypu can hear what's going on

You wouldn't have to "babysit" me. I'd probably keep up with anyone you have on comms. But you'll never find out if you don't chat up the PUGs.

I didn't read most of this thread. I'll just answer as someone who exclusively plays in premades. Probably around 50% of the time, I'll make the following announcement in team chat:

"We're a 4 man premade on voice comms. Feel free to stick with us."

My experience has usually been, believe it or not, that doing that actually makes things WORSE. When I make that announcement in team chat, a lot of PUGs will take the invitation to stick with us. However, the majority of PUG players (not all, but the majority) appear to be very bad at this game relative to premade players. They get in the way, they give away our position, they draw LRMs onto us, they end up friendly firing on us in a brawl, etc.

I personally find that *good* PUG players are capable of picking out a four man, sticking with them, and shooting what the group shoots, on their own. As the guy above me in this thread said, they don't need babysitting. They know how to play and how to be effective as a PUG and, in that case, we welcome them to ride alongside us. The *bad* PUG players, well... I honestly just find them to be more useful as a distraction.

I've tried this when playing with my group. Mostly nobody ever responds, not even a "rgr" when I say "Form up at E5" or "going to boat". Then in the heat of battle there is no time to be calling focus targets or providing intel through text chat.
