You were one of those people that I rarely saw, as I think we weren't ultra-active in VL at the same time or something.

And yes, everybody lost plenty of times. But it was about most consistent play, and in VL there was something to say for players that could take up the non-laser mechs and still crush people (e.g. people who played a good thanatos on Palace Gates, or a good Thor). As for FFP NR play, it involved very different playstyle, and few people crossed-over very well into it. I still think Leo and I (and then later TrendKill) were two of the very few people that played both styles regularly. This game will be great in that we'll all be playing the same game (same rules), but hopefully they have some type of EVO matchmaking/ranking system, as well as the ability to setup battles against each other. It will be epic.

I'm sorry, but, Leo could never and will never be considered a top player in my book. He was very good, no doubt, but, MANY other players were better than him. Way better than him actually. He is a very good friend of mine, although I have not talked him in YEARS.

Even as good as Trendkill was.. even at him prime I don't think he was even in the top 5.. maybe top 10.

In FFP NR, Leo was better than you. You weren't even in the top 5 of CSJ for NBT. I don't think TrendKill was one of the best at all. He was a good player though that crossed over into FFP NR games. I did just fine in VL and NBT playing with and against the best. The thing is, at the highest levels, nobody was that far ahead of anybody else. Most of my games against the best players were decided by 1 or 2 kills.

Well, I hardly ever played FFP with CSJ. Back when I was in CSJ playing FFP, I was a total noob when it came to FFP. I did get a lot better down the line.

Man, I totally forgot about being CSJ and doing FFP until you said something. Soon as I read I remember some battles with CSJ.

Back when I was CSJ in NBT I was VERY active in VL and BZ. Very rarely played in FFP. Later on I played a bunch with EDGE though.

Leo was definitely better at FFP than 3rd, at the time.

CSJ in NBT was way early in the Mech4/Mercs era.. from what I remember.

I haven't seen SL mentioned at all. I played with "BAAL" and "Matty" on that list with Silver Scourge in SL league. Dirty russians and germans!

Played in Starlance and ODL, alot of others. BT Universe. I don't remember who was good. I remember some of the better units. I remember some of the humorous/outrageous players. ... Shoebomb, Deuce, Hippy, and the players in my old unit, Death Legion.

Hippy, there's someone I haven't seen/heard in awhile. Back when I first started playing MW4 I used to duel him all the time in Daishis and he'd always beat me. Lost touch with him near the end of my Veng days/beginning of Mercs.

Starlance ftw man. My first league play ever was FFP for about 2 years.

Then we raped them and he quit them and came back to me.. haha

I always loved when long time wingmen ended up somewhere else and then I had to play them. Always kinda awkward, but fun and challenging.

Like I said in another post.. It seems like 90% of Kaos were my wingmen at one time or another. lol No wonder they were good

if you read my post i said i lost to you guys aswell as beat you on many occasions i have the ****** microsoft train simulator for a prize in the last 2v2 i played v you in uziels (zone match tournament) lucky for me i knew it would be the easiest game of them all as i was only challenged skillwise if you and nex were in either a mk2 or novacat.
