My music is the crunch of my steps, the hum of my lasers, and the explosions of my foes!

According with the overall feedbacks I think we must devide what is "a background music" and a "soundtrack album".
the background music lives behind the scene, it's a rhytm without any particular or too much protagonist lead melody, and it accompanies the player through the game by delivering a good soundscape and emotive immersion.
A soundtrack is a music that "tell a story", sometimes independent and that could be listen also in a car, in a living room, alone, while watching a video, just to "feel the battleground". This is not necessary something that must match with a realtime game with players.
Surely in a multyplayer concept expecially where people talk and coordinate through teamspeak, a "too aggressive" music will overwrite the rest of the game.
Our difficulty at the beginning was in "selecting" what kind of mood and composition we were going to deliver. Without knowing if "PGI" would never get our music inside, we created something that could live OUTSIDE mechwarrior. So we boosted the melodies and the rhytm also "outside the pure background concept".
We can very easly deliver pure background music, this is what we are going to deliver in the next songs so you can tell us if we improved our aim
Thanks again for the feedback

Yes thanks!
I think the game need the community support. The game itself does not end only into its code and graphic. The game is all the "emotive" support the community is able to generate around it. All the extra, all the fanart, all the environment the players are able to generate to enhance and enlarge the battletech environment.

The Menu Music creates kind of a Mass Effect aura. I like that, almost perfect. Maybe a little variation here and there, but still very good.
Land of Fire is a great piece of soundtrack. But in my opinion, the chorals are sometimes a bit off. Mechwarrior Soundtracks excel by their simplicity and punch. (Pretty much the same the Forsaken - and I do not like the dubsteb elements at all).
Unfortunately, I do no like "Falling". It indeed sounds a bit too much like dragonslaying
My advice:
Keep it a bit more basic and simple. That means: Add Beats and Drums, maybe some Guitar Riffs and strip the epic Choirs and Violins. Especially fast violin parts under a slow beat create a very epic feeling (The new batman movies use that a lot), which may be out of place for a dirt and death heavy game like Mechwarrior.
Please, do not think of me as a pathetic jackass
I REALLY appreciate your work and I think you should be honored by PGI. But if you ask for Feedback, I try to be honest.

etc. They've brought back Carole Ruggier, and I am in full nostalgia mood, I think a lot of what FASA was doing with the sound track could be translated well over into your style. Your songs have the heavy rock feel down to them.
The Forsaken is a really good example, but it only gets half way through the song! And the violen kinda repeats, but still at 2:40 this song suddenly becomes really impressive, the rest of it just seems like a dubstep filter holding you back from hearing a nice taste of nostalgia.
But the menu music is perfect.

I would like to show you the results of our passion for the game by sharing with the entire community the "Mechwarrior Online Soundtrack Project".
I've developed 4 original soundtracks as a gift for PGI. My only desire is to verify the community feedback, and if it will be good, I can proceed ahead in the development of an entire Album.
Our goal is to have PGI sponsoring officially our music.

I applaud your efforts man. The sounds are very good. And I would actually recommend keeping the DubStep in the 3rd song as opposed to the guy who said to take it out. The dubstep influence doesn't hurt the song, and despite what are most likely media genre biases....there should be no negativity about DubStep.
You've kept the sounds your own so far. Don't change a thing. You clearly have a desire to help enrich the MWO community and I think PGI will definitely appreciate that. I'm sure their audio designers and producers are also hard at work. I hope your sounds find their way into the game in some way.
In the meantime, try to get some airplay on internet radio with more work. Try HyperPulseRadio. S3dition....might be able to help you with that.

I very appreicate ALL your feedback! They are all important and usefull to understand the target feedback.
Surely at the end some "decision" must be taken expecially if the songs MUST fit a particular goal.
The following tracks we will deliver will accord mostly with the "background" concept i've read in a lot of feedback, so they will be less protagonist and more a soundscape (with tribal rhytm, or relaxing electro rhytm) so you will have more elements to judge
Thanks again, stay tuned on Radio Mechwarrior Online! LOL
