Actually, what he is really saying is that the Qs need to be further separated.

One for purely solo players and two man groups.

One for 4 man lances

One for full 8 v 8, moving to 12 v 12 when implemented.

Give 4 man teams their own queue like the 8 man teams, sure that would work.

The maps arent particularly big (yet) so 4v4 would work fine.

Now lets see "team" players jump up and object to this and try to defend why their "team vs pug" is fair and healthy competition whereas "team vs team" is unbalanced and unrewarding.

What with the you can only play ECM etc to 8 man. I do not belong to clan or group but use the Free to anyone TS server pick up 7 like mined maniacs and roll with what we feel like driving.
So running as 8 Random people with TS Saturday had 18 matches won 10 lost 8 most of them close fights and not using FOTM builds.
In fact out of those 18 I think from memory 4 where 1-2 scouts + atlas, 2 where all fast little gits and the rest where balanced teams.
Best two matches where against balanced team where we fought them back to back same team - first they won by capping with 1 mech left and we had 3 slow arse mechs and was almost our win,
second match we had the better side to drop from and it was a 8-3 game.
Would say the harder matches yesterday where against the balanced teams as the Atlas heavy teams seemed to be rather poor
and in fact 1 game I in a cataphract walked round a corner to face 3 atlas killed 2 last one killed me and our team won 8-1
The only really bad match was one of the all light rush groups where the lowest ping from them was over 300.
Trying to synch drop 2*4 to rofl stomp peeps is just sad.

A snark from someone whose name is a Portmanteau of "osmosis" and "@ss". Really? Words whose very fusion suggests that the progenitor actually thrives on his own self created waste. I'm charmed by first attempts at trolling from the mentally challenged. I take heart in the attempt and applaud the effort. I'll be watching the Special Olympics and following your progress!

Oooh, looks like someone found the thesaurus.

I can't tell what he's asking here, can you guys? Near as I can tell, he's getting upset because the matchmaker randomly put two 4 mans on the enemy team.

Either that, or he's complaining about 2 mans. I'm honestly not sure which.

more likely he's fed up fighting atlas d-dc ecm/cicada ecm/raven ecm....;gauss/ac20 camping in the middle of a map when playing 8vs8 and decided to go pug playing and discovered that the teams that can man a 8 mech-team do not and prefer to "pug-stomp" in a 2x4man config
oh that!!!! and maybe the fact he made the effort to write in english,a foreign language for him (and more than two third of the world)....do you speak any other language ? if yes you might have notice it is somewhat harder to say exactly what you want in a foreign language....if no....no comments needed!!!!!

What the op is trying to say is "Stop playing MY team game as a team".

It was a valid decision to seperate PUGs and premade groups, because PUGs are usually not AS organized as the premades. They can work together, but I bet that in 99% of the pugs there is no teamspeak which limits teamplay somewhat.

So there are two grades of teamplay here (maybe with a third grade being "no teamplay" *g*) and it is valid to seperate them. Yet poeple find a workaround because they like the easier way towards their wins. I think it is valid to complain about that but unfortunatly, as far as I know, PGI oppenly said they don't care and it is allowed. Bummer!

And how do they know which of the 4 man groups hitting enter at the same time are not paired together and which are? The reason people are playing twin 4x groups more than 8 manning it is that they want to play other mechs besides ECM mechs or AtlaiOnline. Every time the puglets scream imba, the devs turn the imba cannons on them. It'll get fixed whenever phase 3 fixes the stuff they didn't think to think of at the time they fixed it. But gratz puglets, you get to scream about life not being fair for a bit more. The only thing which should be aggressively limited is the whine preceding the emminent nerfvalanche. You pugs whined for more "fairness". Well, it came. It also came from PGI, you know the guys who gave you the initial unfairness you so loathe. So everyone else got PGI'd on. Rather than "test" what is known to be "broken" is pointless most wings don't play anymore or threaten to come back "when it is finished". Non pug groups have been struggling to retain members in the face of a game which seems intent on making them flee the genre. Few will be playing 8v8 since the past month has been nothing but a sales pitch for other games. Well, now most wings are off doing just that. So, can't corral two 8 man groups to sync up vs eachother easily, so the natural slide downhill results in the dog getting kicked last. Guess who the dog is here. I'm sure this one is both metaphorical and a pug. Get used to the boots. Prepare for steel toed upgrades. Have a great harvest!

Hang on..so your probably one of the groups of people that complained about having pugs in your side and wanted phase 2 to come. Then when it comes in, you find you cant hack it and have to go back to the cheap tactic of sync dropping to show off your 1337 skeeels on the pugs. Way to go, i mean really.

The corp I'm with does 8 mans, sure we have a mixed weight class and we tend to go up against 6 d-dc atlas and 2 ravens, but you know what, we don't whine about it and do sync drops in the pug arena, due to losing. We learn from the battles to get better. Better communication, better mech loads, better tactics.

The first couple of matches, didnt kill a single mech on ourside. By the 4th - 5th match were killing a few, by the end of the afternoon our group was getting its act together and we even won a few matches. Just suck it up and don;t blame the fact that you can't adapt to the 8 man area, so you have to pugstomp :D

Because that would be fair. Just ran into an 8 man that sync drops and laughed about it. My guess is that they were trying to practice 8 man tactics - as if 8 random pugs could hope to offer much more than target practice.

Doubt they were practacing tactics. They were there because they cant handle the 8 mans, pure and simple.

I don't blame 5 or 6 friends who try to sync drop to play together.

The probleme comes from 8 mates who start 2x4 team sync lunch... not fair for pugs... BUT actual matchmaking without tonnage limits is not really "faire" too...

Actually, lot of 8v8 are sames : at least 5 Atlas DDC, 1 or 2 heavy & 1 or 2 Lights ECM... So, 8 mates who want plays "equilibrate" tonnage lance (with lights, medium, heavy and Assault) can't play decently...

A 8v8 matchmaking work is necessary to counter 2x4 sync drop teams...

PS : Sorry for my bad english,

The thing is that the team has control over their own mech builds for 8 v 8. Does it suck that two chassis dominate? Sure, but if you want to play the game for real, you adapt to the game. When you sync drop, you are denying the enemy PUG players the same freedom that you have.

Scumbag pre-made players: we don't like ECM spam in 8 v 8...

... so we'll bring ECM spam into the PUG queues.

No worries on the english side, I think you got your point across.

They need to limit each side to one group at the moment, that'll stop the 2x4man syncs and give pugs an even chance. Then I believe as someone else posted, bring in the 4v4 match. The maps can easily handle it and it will allow units to do training runs for individual lances, before they move to the 8v8 arena. Weight restrictions need to apply as well, and these need to be advertised when implemented. Example : 8 man groups are limited to 600 tones, 4 mans limited to 300. That way you can get a variety of mechs.

edit: well it wont stop the sync drop, it will mean that if people sync drop they will most likelt be fighting each other.

This thread has generated numerous violations of the MechWarrior: Online Code of Conduct, and is now being closed.

The game Developers consider the deliberate synchronizing of 4-person drops in the effort to form an 8-person group within the solo->4-person group queue to be exploitative in nature, and a violation of the MechWarrior: Online Terms of Use. I will repost a section of an Official Posting regarding in-game griefing and cheating:
