I just bought an x52 pro and this thing is just awesome, but that deadzone is killing me. When I run the Saitek software and test the dead zone it recognizes even the slightest of movements, yet I have to move the stick far outside of center in MWO before it recognizes any movement. I feel like this has to be a software issue since the built-in software clearly shows movement where MWO doesn't. Some input would be appreciated soon so I know whether I need to mail this thing back or not, it definitely wasn't cheap and I bought it solely for this game.

Just a headsup on the Logitech G 940:

Has been discontinued as of last month.
The issues raised in the Logitech forums such as throttle pot spikes were, by all accounts, never fixed.

Above the costs for anything that would give an advantage over LGA 1155 or AM3+, while either platform have processors which will max out this game rather well at a substantially lower price point, hence for the majority of users I recommend against it unless they have a specific need over an i7-3770k's / FX-8350's multithread performance.

I may do this.
Though I will have to first start doing updates again. Soon enough.

Nice listing. Im usually a Keyboard and Mouse player but I do have a Logitech Dual action Game pad, unfortunately even with the Logitech Profiler MWO doesnt recognize the left thumb stick. Kinda surprised that MWO doesnt have incremental throttle control in the keyboard set up (1-0 etc) and a key that makes the mech go in reverse (Like every other FASA Mech Game thats come out). I seen in the defaultprofile.xml that they have listed directional jump jets keys but I guess they dont work. There are a few other keys that arent mentioned in there too but like the directional JJ's no Worky. Mentioning Jump Jets...anyone know if You can Succesfully DFA (Death From Above) in MWO?

I meant a keyboard command. In Mech 2,3 and 4 there was a keyboard command for Reverse (Backspace I think it was as Default). Does it automatically throw you in reverse when going forward? (Granted you slow down from your forward movement but its not an Incremental type setting, like pressing and holding down the 'S' key). I guess I could just fiddle with it, since I use the arrow keys for throttle and direction control and mouse for torso.

Then re-map it to backspace? It isn't that hard. The command is there, you just have to make use of it. It does everything you're talking about.

Well I tried remapping the invert throttle and guess what? It doesnt do anything as a keyboard command, Id have to guess since its not a joystick throttle ah well such is life.

So I have access to a computer that's a 2.2 quadcore with 4GB of ram.... video card is going to be my problem.

Don't laugh too hard but will it play on this?

X1300 Pro PCIE 256MB Ram (yah I know it sucks)

I tried the X700? 256MB ram and the game didn't recognize it... is there a list of supported video cards? Or a requirement for supported video cards?

Why won't the game let me play on one monitor? All my other games work on one of the two monitors I have. Can anyone please help me?? If I use the first monitor, I lost 1/4 of the screen. If I play on the other monitor, it won't fit to the whole screen.

Can anyone please help?

In a game like MWO, how much of a performance difference would I see between the $600 and the $900 builds?

Hey guys,

I've been playing for a couple weeks on what I thought was an adequate machine but since the beta went to open it's really been chugging along. I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction of how best to optimize the settings for my system.

Here are my specs:

Cpu: AMD Athlon X2 4450e (Dual Core, ~2.3GHz)
Ram: 4.00 GB
GPU: XFX HD Radeon 6770 Core Edition (1GB)
OS: Windows Vista x32

I have tried running it on lower res, disabling the other monitor, low textures etc, turn off V-sync, basically dumb it down as far as I can, and I will run somewhere between 10-20 fps in a match (according to FRAPS and the in-game monitor). If I turn everything back to medium or high, it's about the same. So either low isn't really "low", or I'm doing something else wrong and I'm not sure what. Is this CPU just way too outdated for this game? Am I missing the sweet spot of low end graphics but still high enough for the GPU to handle most of the data instead of the CPU? Any thoughts would help, I want to get back to playing this but the chugging really is annoying. Thanks for any help.

Likely 10-15fps. Though I would recommend waiting for an update, coming within the next 24 hours if all goes well.
