Relax. Now I know you may think everything is always about you....however, I have no idea what you posted in previous posts, I was replying to the main thread and bits of first page I bothered to read and just airing my opinion. There is no need to go all caps lock on my *** for agreeing with some point I did not even know you made.

Apart from that, I dont get why anyone would not want to see his own stats/ranking. Reminds me of a child sticking his fingers in his ears "Lalala I dont hear anything!!".

Why would you hide it? So really bad people can arbitrarily claim great skill and understanding on the forums without displaying it in game?
They would do that anyway.
As to "why hide it?" see here :The issue I see rising is the many cases of "your argument/point is invalid, my Elo is higher, l2P Noob". That would come with public stats. The "L2P noob" ridicule that gets thrown around here is already excessive, I would rather not see it encouraged. (even if it is sometimes justified)

Most of the people that throw that around are bad players. Their low ELO would shut them up.

League of Legends doesnt have a W/L or kdr? I agree with the ranking though

Fair one, I apologise but that is not how most people in the past have agreed

I would not say that all other stats are useless...however they definately do not paint a whole picture on their own.

Except it would also be used against any low Elo player with a valid suggestion or point. Low Elo or not, they should still be encouraged to give their opinions and not feel as if they will be raged at for making one with a low elo.

With the ELO system W/L wont matter anymore because everybody will have 50% win/loss. Which is another reason to show ELO, as there needs to be at least some incentive to try to win games. Otherwise it doesnt matter if you win or lose, because the system will always adjust your opponents in a way that you win only 50%, no matter if you play good or bad.
And there is K/D in LoL, but noone cares about it because it doesnt matter in any way.

And the LoL Community is the most or one of the most obnoxious communities on the internet...
This sums it up pretty effectively: www.cad-comic.com/cad/20121217
In terms of bragging rights wins in tournaments and/or CW should be more of an indicator than some stupid stats that can be be buffed through various means anyway... in WoT some russian developed a "rating system" and many players went ahead and found ways to exploit it...
Either you win some tournaments or you don't deserve any rights to brag whatsoever... and since Solaris isn't implemented yet nobody deserves to brag...
Besides... when a player gets better over time the stats won't really reflect that...

yes i agree what i mean is "as they are" its pointless once they rank us and match us properly stats from that point will be far more indicative of anything (so long as they add number of assists)

I also hope there is a solo queue ELO score along with 4 man and 8 man. Separate it out.

I said that elo matters (lol see wispy? need bigger font too apparently XD)... but W/L is only in ranked play when we have ranked play give us W/L and all that jazz is what ive been saying

I dont mind showing W/L. But as already said, once ELO system is implemented W/L wont matter anymore as everybody will win 50% if the system works like it is supposed to, no matter how that person plays.

thats not true at all look at the Season 3 ladder now. You're matched on skill but tactics and composition will always cause fluctuation even in a perfect ranking system. Some people will always be better so they will have the most wins if you are the best you cant be matched against someone better and often times people get very lucky. You will not fight the same people time and time again even if they were the only ones who could challenge you, and often times you can lose to people less skilled than you because your team comp was countered just like in lol

Yeah the very top or very bottom of the ladder are an exception. But someone getting a 1.5 W/L or whatever doesnt really matter compared to the ELO. Which is why you see noone in LoL bragging about W/L.
And the same people that would be that high now sometimes have a W/L of 5 or higher. Whats 1.5 compared to that?

yeah the stats bashing were terrible... i didnt care with 69% winratio and effiency above 2k

still... as some1 who were a scout for new ppl.. it was realy nice and you didnt waste to much time to talk to bad ppl ( dont get me wrong.. bad were 98% of the WoT players to us .. we just did recruit very good ppl )
just check whats alaric the a. is writting

still i see more pro as contra with public stats... maybe if you invite ppl to your friendlist they can see your stats.. that would work for all ?
or an option... like : all / no1 / friendlist
so who were you on WoT with such stats, i ask becasue i am surprised as such a renowned player i would expect you to use the same or very similar name.
I am also going to guess you were in closed beta, that seems to have a big advantage on stats. i have two accounts, one on the USA server at 58% with all my learning included (for a while i thought a turret shot was the killer shot - head shot no less) and one on the EU server without the need to learn. which for 100% solo play sits at 68%, 2.4k eff (tho it doesn't get a lot of time as i cannot be bothered to grind up another account, particularly as i don't use premium), if i platooned with similar players it would be higher.
that is not a lot different to what players have done here to inflate stats beyond their actual individual ability. practiced when they could get a wipe, then used 8 man v pugs to gain good results, now 4 man. it is difficult to know who is good not not based off stats that are so easy to improve without even having to be any good.

Because its point is not to be a bragging right but a tool to let you know youre not doing something right in a properly ranked setting if you have less than 1.0 thus being the "tool for improvement" many people would be looking for
