Whoa whoa whoa whats going on in this thread? Elite mechs? Alright lets see if I understand this right. People are scared that these "elite" mechs (even though there is only 1 mech, the "
Founder's BattleMech." This 'Mech includes a lifetime, per-match C-Bill booster".)
Alright, so we know that if you give $60 to the game you receive a bonus which includes:
Exclusive custom "Founder's BattleMech." This 'Mech includes a lifetime, per-match C-Bill booster.
$80 value of in-game currency* for in-game item purchases.
Two-month premium account to MechWarrior Online at launch: Earn XP & C-Bills faster.Founder's Tag - sets your status apart from the crowd & get noticed in-game and on the forums.
Early access to the game along with Founder's assets availability starts July 17th.
So this mech that you get will be special, but the only thing different from any normal variant of said unknown mech is that it has a permanent c-bill booster, something that does not change the actual statistics of the mech itself. I have no problems with this for the simple fact that all it is giving the player who owns it is more in-game currency which he can spend on ALL THE SAME THINGS A PERSON WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE MECH CAN BUY. So all it is doing is allowing the person to unlock the SAME THINGS non owners of the mech will unlock but just in quicker time, almost like how they said you will be able to do that with the real-world money transactions. Its not a pay-to-win mech at all, rather just a quick unlock mech.
Also, the mech does not have the EXP booster, only the C-bill booster, so it will gain EXP at the same rate as every other mech.
This is also the ONLY mech that we know that someone who pays money will get that no one else can get, and yet it still holds no advantage over someone who uses it vs someone who does not.
Total non-issue and its not breaking the game.
