For me at least, I want a high saturation option...
Not like florescent with everything neon. but I want kinda of a ... (bad example) Halo esque color option.
Another good example is the Warhammer 40K DOW games. The setting is war, its gritty as hell but still colorfull

I love colorful sharp shiny space games. and MWO is a great candidate to have that option.

Are you implying the art and boxes for this series aren't all about the garish, not-macross paintjobs, and infinite stripes and primary colors?

Mechwarrior looks really awkward as a brown and bloom game.

Ok,

for you saturation fetishists.
I have edited my config a little more to get the most out of it without MWO looking like a cartoon. Hope you like it.
If you need the configs, I can upload them.

And here my config for colour enthusiasts:

Personally I prefer a little less vibrance and contrast, but I guess this is what some people here want?!

I just don't like over satured colors like the pic of Warhammer above.

If I want oversatured colors I watch a cartoon, play Mario or Team Fortress. Please dont do that on MWO.

I just want to properly be able to tell when there's a mech ahead, and not another piece of metal concealed by the brown fog.

Right now, I never play without heatvision. I haven't in months. You cripple yourself by not using it. That should be enough of a warning something's wrong.

If you don't like colors, you're playing the wrong game.

I'm on the same boat as you.

But instead of making MWO a Photosensitive Epilepsy game, the saturation fetishists could buy a good monitor and put Contrast/Bright at maximum.

there is a noticeable gap between a heavy filter that washes out every color and My little Mechwarrior: ECM is Magic.
Maybe we could have something somewhere in between.

PGI, if you don't do it for us, do it for the colorblinds out there (they are more numerous than you may think)

Colourblind Options are a must for games nowadays.

It's interesting how many companies are still not applying them to their games, this feels so pre 2000....

The right pictures are better. I'd like to see more colors in this game. Say NO to color filters!

Well,

I think the screens I have posted a little higher on page 8 are getting close to that. If you need more saturation, I could rewrite my sweetFX configs like at page 7 and post these for you, so you could simply paste them?!

I'll give your exisiting settings a whirl and go and see how it works out.

Edit: I cant find the settings post on page 7 (maybe im not looking hard enough) and chance you could paste me up a copy here after all.

I did not post my settings yet as there did not seem much demand.

Ingame I maxed out everything except antialiasing, as I do downsample the game by Nvidia Control. DS @ 2400 x 1350 for reduced aliasing (it's enough, though you can go @ 2880 x 1620 too, if your native resolution is 1920 x 1080 if you want more)
in the user config I changed my FOV to 82 to see more of my cockpit.

Here is my sweetFX settings cfg that results in this look (subtle improvements)

If you need help to set things up, let me know....

PS: If your performance takes a hit, simply disable the fake HDR...

The Right one, because I don't walk around in engines of destruction JUST to kill enemies. I like to stop and look around at the beautiful landscape before the missiles rip it to pieces. (NO SARCASM HERE, SERIOUSLY)

Right ones as well.
Never liked the brown/yellow look.. looks unnatural, depressing and overall boring.

Looks like a lot of work to set this up :)
I will give it a try. Started the game today, but the basic graphics were a turn-off, so I will give yours a try.

To quote another guy:

To make Sweetfx run, copy the dll files and injector.ini into the Bin32 folder of MechWarrior Online. The rest needs to be placed in the MechWarrior Online folder. It will auto run when the game starts and you can turn it on/off during gameplay by pressing Scroll Lock. You can also alter the settings txt file during gameplay and instantly see the changes it makes (Just save the settings file, changes will show when you alt-tab into the game again).
