I would pay for a bug free single player campaign version of the game.

Then read up on the stuffs and causes that leads up to MWO.
You will realised that if you hope to see a single player element of MW in the future, your best bet is to support the development of this game.

As for me, I wouldn't pay $60 for the current state of MWO but I do intend to buy some MCs (that I don't need really) when funds allow...cause this game, while having A LOT of problems, have potential and I want to see the game succeed.

Free to play..... as it should be.... paying for any packs or MC now.... i wouldn't recommend it to new players for now until things are fixed. At the current rate of development, I really dont see my self sticking around much longer if it continues like this either. Other players who play more then me have levelled just about every mech, now there is really nothing left for them but to wait till the next hero mech or vanity item cash grab is released, much is lacking for a "MMO"....

pub whines

.
If anyone, for one second thinks that just because they have read every single Novel or Tech manual, or played every single Mech game out there, that it entitles them to belittle or mistreat what they consider "PUBS" invading their territory, they will be surpised (even though they shouldn't) at what will be "put up" with, and what won't after the game launches... So have fun now..
.
A "PUB" to the MechWarrior community will most likely "NOT" stick around (let alone spend any money) if he or she gets told he's "trolling" for asking questions like, "where is the Madcat", and then told "bye, and good riddance"... I can see the whole argument now about all the "Free 2 Play" parasites, as I have seen them called, but the whole idea is for them to have fun, spend a little cash on upgrades, and "CONTINUE" to do so. This game was made to make money, "NOT" to cater/pander to a few elitists..
.
Some people don't want any newcomers in "THEIR THING", and I understand why, (I didn't say I agree), but that isn't constructive, it's the exact opposite...
.
This "GAME" is made for a couple fo reasons, but the most important to "Piranha" is, get ready for it... MONEY, they are a business, and businesses exist for one reason and one only, to be successful, and to do that, they have to turn a profit, one big enough that will justify continued support for producing or supporting a certain product..
When it comes to MechWarrior/BattleTech, do you really think what amounts to a "niche" market is what the game devs are hoping to pull into MWO, no, they want as many paying customers as possible buying as many upgrades as possible.. There is nothing to keep the MechWarrior community from slipping "back" into relative obscurity in the gaming world.
.
So tell me again what product survives without the support of the "public"..??

LMFAO!!

And to answer question put 60 in at first then like a week later in August mind you put another 60 in. Wouldn't take it back either.

And you have to keep one thing in mind...there are some REALLY SENSITIVE VAGINAS in this community...lol and most are Supposably adults.

I already paid $120 for the promise of an online, PvP, Battletech game with some persistent elements thrown in.

So far I see no reason to regret that expenditure.

Would I pay $60 for what we have right now, in the middle of development? Sure, why not. Non-persistent PvP matches with a Battletech flavor isn't half bad; in fact it's a lot of fun.

Would give anything for a decent MW game.
Actually would also pay for a non decend MW game...just give it to me.
And I would sell my cat/dog/daugther for a single player MW5

When it was out of beta and completed? I don't know because it isn't yet. If it had singleplayer that would help though.

As it stands now? Hell No. I LOVE Mechwarrior, don't get me wrong...but...the game just isn't complete, not remotely enough to justify a $60 price tag. For $60 I expect at least 10 multiplayer maps, a full single player campaign, cutscenes, and more than two game modes. Don't get me wrong, i know full well that it takes a great deal of time to develop even one of these things, and what Piranha Games has accomplished so far on this outstanding game is nothing short of astonishing and impressive. I love this game so far, and I look forward to loving it for many years to come, but as it stands now it does not justify a new-console-game price. Please, mods and devs, don't take offense at this, I love this game, and I'm glad it's currently a FTP title, which, in time (like...once I have a job that pays again) I will shell out hundreds of dollars for to add cosmetic changes, accessories, and all sorts of other bling to my 'mechs.

I spent $15 on MC once and I feel ripped off. The only thing I was really able to buy was 3 mech bays. I spent the rest on a week of premium time that went wasted because I ended up being too busy to play that week. I'll not be spending another cent. Add to that the fact that I've been playing the same maps for months and see a game-breaker every patch, I don't see it worth my while to fund MWO any further.

No, I would wait until all the games features are available and other critical issues were fixed. However, I do prefer paying $60 and receiving all of the games contents over a F2P model.
