Ah I missed the post about you having more than 4 LL's.. Carry on stalkers are awesome, aiming is hard people will be butt-hurt, gotta love being a solo premade

i was a little warm, i opened the window though and the room is cooler now. but i do play better when my fingers aren't cold. i think he's onto something here.

My current stalker has 4x ML, 1x ERPPC, 4x SSRM2. Lousy heat efficiency due to the ERPPC, but it is great for long range fights and I don't use it for close range fights. Well, except for heavy ECM jamming, then I can fire MLs and ERPPC.

swap an ML for a TAG and you'll be able to use the SSRM2's from 180 to 270m instead of just 180-200m against ECM mechs
or swap to SRM4's or 6's and you can fire even in the presence of ECM

Hmm aside from the obvious sarcasm of this thread, someone should point out that SRMs (especially without artemis) spread very rapidly. This can lead to high damage scores without the damage being truly critical.

That said, 5-6 kills show that Noodle still can land the rounds. Kudos, If I see you out there I'll make sure to avoid you!

Avoiding isn't an option for a guy that scores 5 kills and 3 assits... Kill him before he can kill you is the best trick. Good prestige killing a opponent like him!

The Answer to the original Question was already said:

Your current Configuration seems to fit your Playstyle, and that is more important than anything else.

I am always laughed because i keep my LRM20 in my Atlas, but it fits me and the DPS stays the same in brawling as i can longer sustain combat.

Others dislike the 5 Firegroup setup or can't handle it.

And thats the Point, i can handle it and work with it so it is a valid build for ME.

And your Build with Long range short range Swap is a very good Build on the Stalker and lot of people didn't have realised that the Highweapon Loadout "hot" Assaults are not meant as Boats but as Multipurpose Weapon Plattforms.

My Stalker has an Alpha of 120 but heatsinks for only a DPS of 17. Thats because he is a Long Range/short range build.

When it suites you, and i seems that it does. USE IT don't care about the Idiots which know everything better, i use an XL Engine bymyself, and in 20 Death i was blown with a CT Armor not deepred or vanished. Because i know how to avoid permant hits on one Side. Then a XL on a Stalker is Awesome.

When you can't distribute the Damage others do to you, then a XL Engine is stupid..

So it suites you fight with it and it's a Valid Build.

( Mystalkers got all an Heat effenciy below 1.0 but i know how to manage Heat)

my other point was that people keep blaming their teams for their poor performance in MWO. if you are continually doing poorly in matches, it's not your team, it's you.

improve your aim, improve your tactics, improve your understanding of the battlefield. oh, and don't look in vassago's cockpit, i hear it's got a sauna with lots of naked men in there comparing e-penises (just for vassago, one more screen cap of me losing horribly so he can feel better about himself and his centurion)

personally, i think i do just fine with my xl. most of the time i'm one of the last people standing, and the tradeoff in survivability is offset by the increased speed and guns i can lug around. overall it makes the game more fun for me than the ability to be a zombie-mech.
