This doesn't need to be turned into another ******* ECM fight thread. This isn't the place to fight about it; there are literally hundreds of other threads for that. We just want an answer.

Reduce the heat from the laser?
Strengthen the capacity of DHS?
Stalker and Awesom at this stage, only LRM boats ....but not mech class ASSAULT. they always lose Atlas.
only good lrm bot (Stalker and Awesome), but not ASSAULT (Atlas).

1) At the present time, both ECM and the lock-on weapons (LRM, SSRM) are not balanced. LRM and SSRM are extremely effective and powerful when not countered by ECM (Streak cats/Stalkers + LRM boats). On the other hand, lagshield/netcode issues make fast ECM light mechs very difficult to deal with in many cases. ECM has a range of powerful effects that make ECM equipped mechs and those nearby much more difficult to kill. Games often seem to contain packs of light ECM mechs working in conjunction and there is very little that can be done to effectively fight this tactic without also adopting fast ECM light mechs.
Questions: What is PGI's view on the current implementation of ECM? Does it need to be changed or tweaked in your opinion and if so what changes will be made? Similarly, since ECM is the primary counter to lock-on weapons, will there be any changes to lock-on weapons to bring them into a better balance with the rest of the weapon systems?

You have a valid point. It is not up to me to decide if a question is a good one or not, and the discussion would probably degrade quickly. I respectfully retract my earlier comment.
However, I will say that I think that Mawai's question above is IMO better worded, more likely to be answered and likely to get a more constructive response from the devs. I'd actually very much like to see an answer to Mawai's question.

Who the Fu++ is tolkien? Is he the non ECM Party Leader? We all know ecm is overpowered but before ecm has benn inplemented you guys complained about Streaks, lrms +++. Forum is full with ecm complaints. DEVS Will have noticed that and it looks like they dont want to change anything.

Can you dig into your logs and run us a report on the kill/death ratio by mech chassis? I think everyone would enjoy seeing that.
I know my ratio is about 1/3 primarily in my Atlas AS7-D (which is a little telling of how terrible I am).
