Your sudden dying with no weapons fire is most likely because you lagged out, took a bunch of weapons fire, and then the game caught up and "boom". That or you were firing and the game kept you shooting during your lag moments and you overheated and blew up when it caught up.

A previous patch added "recoil" from enemy fire on the Atlas chassis. If you noticed, Atlases actually rocked back from fire, very very cool!

Wasn't mentioned in the patch notes IIRC?

They also added recoil to at least the Cataphract chassis, sometimes it's hard to tell in the middle of combat.

Another ninja addition not mentioned in the patch notes is the Centurion speed and leg animation. If you noticed before Centurion's no matter what their speed, would simply trod along and not lift their legs up that high. They kind of glided over the ground.

This recent patch actually made the speed and the legs synchronized. Watch a 9D next time and you'll see its legs actually go up and down in longer strides. Also very cool as I love the Centurion myself.

Concerning decorations for your cockpit, the zoom and center speed has been upped quite a bit for the 3 locations you can put stuff in. A nice addition as it makes taking stuff in and out quicker.

So what other ninja additions have you guys noticed that weren't explicitly in the patch notes?

I've killed myself twice since this last patch, while being at around %20 heat and not being anywhere near a map border. I have no idea why it has occurred.

I won't say its not possible, but the timing right after the patch is suspicious.

In addition, apparently this has been happening to a bunch of other people around the same time, judging by the in-game chatter I've seen.

First, they were working all through the time you seem to think they were smoking McDonalds and drinking. When I saw the wrong logo being a Kuritian was saddened that a programmer could make such a mistake and it would be released without anyone seeing it? But not as much as the picture which it looked like a bug. Next business model. I hate bean counters because in the end they can destroy a company faster than a tornado. First, tell your customers what the plan is for this game when it is finished. If you are not sure be honest. HONESTY, with your customers is the best way to make a success of this game. You withholding information and giving stupid hints have created more problems than any programing screw-ups that have happened. Some may not like it but you may find that many more are willing to put up with delays and other problems. Start acting like business persons, not the CIA . You need to grow up a lot more than some of the people on the forum who whine all the time, at least they care. The patch was an improvement to me missiles were allowed back into the game but not overpowering. guass riffles are still very effective at long range to balance missiles and the lowering of ECM have made a more balanced and enjoyable game. Again I challenge any company executive to arrange a podcast where WE can layout what is really going on and final objectives. If you have any HONOR you will. Hope to hear from you, you know my name and email. I await your reply. I as everyone wait to see what will happen on the 15th.

mech dont take damage from srm (catapult from face, catafract from back, centurion from back). 30-70m direct hit/ ping 180/ fps 60

Its the lagshield effect - on your client it looks like youve hit the srms, but on the server you didnt due to ping delay.

I hav encountered some less expected weapon behavior when receiving enemy fire and mysterious suicides.

My usual experience:
If hit by LRM i get spread damage over the time and when damaged badly enough i die toward the end of a salvo.
If hit by Lasers they spread over the Mechs parts until it sums up enough and i die toward the end of the beam/pulse duration.

The unexpected behavior:
LRM - recently i died in a slighty damaged Mech by only one Missiles salvo when the very first Missile of the barrage hit me and cored my CT black immedietly.
Lasers kill me at the very beginning of the beam/pulse duration in only slightly damaged Mechs.

Unexpected Suicides:
I died about 3 times yesterday from myself and have no clue why bcs my heat was one time at ~30% and one time at ~80% and so far i dont know what way i killed myself.

Ninja do things by stealth, I would say it's good use.
I often think that the person putting up patch notes REALLY does not know all additions or someone in the DEVS group did not bother to say anything.

I noticed a bit of bug fixes:
  • llaser collision/impact animation returned
  • mechlab icons fixed
  • a lot less rubberbanding from collisions (ex two mechs do not bounce off of each other repeatedly)

its srm6 catapult cored your back. Today I've killed about dosen of lonely snipers like you. Only mech cannot be killed from oneshot is atlas.
