hi Colonel Pada Vinson,

I installed the files last night and used the 5_ultra_high cfg. it worked very well was getting an average of 50fps on my system. one suggestion though regarding the instructions in the " readme_first" doc.

it says

i would suggest that you add that you need to copy the CVarGroups_MWO folder to the appropriate location,same deal with step 2. unless I'm wrong and I was suppose to copy the individual files to the specific location? I think this would help the less tech savy people.

Thanks again for all of the work.

Thanks for this feedback. once ui 2.0 is released and DX11 I will release a pack for that as is applicable & permissable by PGI. until that time you can consider this pack in "beta" while I refine it some more.

Downloaded this and gave it a try, i'm positive it's been installed correctly (as per instructions) yet I haven't noticed any difference yet.

Running i7 3770k @ 4.4ghz and GTX 780

Edit: Never mind, i switched back to the standard cfg and immediately noticed the difference. Subtle, but the improvements are there. Switched back again immediately!

I want to go download the .cfg file so maybe I can get more than 10-15 FPS on my laptop, but BitDefender throws up a warning when trying to visit the TerranTitans website. Probably a false alarm, but you may want to give it a thorough checking, Pada (or whoever is the owner or tech guy).

which cfg file are you using? you can also put a ; in front of those commands to disable them, but I'm thinking they weren't copped over correctly to the user.cfg and their missing a value.

;Field of View inside Cockpit (Default:75)

cl_fov = 85

;Mouse Options

i_mouse_smooth = 0
i_mouse_accel=0

;mouse speed (working - 0.1 - windows mouse at 6 notch, 1200 dpi mouse raise/lower as needed)

cl_sensitivity = 0.1

yes. a variety of "persons" have reported our website to bitdefender & some others as "malicious" included is this is a series of "attacks" we suffered from certain netizens that seemed to think breaching the law and / or attacking our server was a good idea.

The file is clean. Sadly, unreporting our website from these report filings is practically impossible, and as such some programs may still throw this warning up.

Since the package contains no actual virus files, and only images & text, it's completely impossible for a virus to actually be in the user.cfg package that is up for download, however the less techsavvy may be intimidated/concerned over the warnings.

Unfortunately it's just not worth my time to fight the virus warnings. you can use the package or not, I offer the server space and file hosting for free, and I have nothing to gain from offering these files, I can assure you that nothing is in the package beyond text & image files which can not in any way inject a virus or trojan onto your PC.

My host and I & authorities monitor the site daily and the site is afaik clean. I did email bitdefender with this so we will see if they take the time to delist our site.

Ah, okay, thanks for that. And yes, I know it is impossible to hide viruses in text/image files, but manipulating a url to say one thing and do another is well within the scope of reality. After my desktop got hit by a nasty virus (I'm fairly certain of this but no idea where it came from) that has locked me out of 99% of the Control Panel features (which I still haven't been able to get rid of, and won't really bother to try until it comes time to upgrade my mobo/processor) I started getting ridiculously careful with what I do and where I go.

Time to get optimized!

Glorious beyond all measure.

I suddenly don't mind the cockpit glass so much.

I'm also getting way less eye-strain.

The game is beautiful again! I though they'd nuked this fix, I'd tried the old one I had and it didn't work.

Also, the ultra config - very pretty, excellent effect. I'm not a big fan of the wider FOV but that was easy to fix.

Brilliant work, the game looks amazing again.

Placing CVarGroups_MWO folder has NO effect enymore ... it's locked by developers!

So most of the user.cfg commands won't work. If you notice any improvement - so feel lucky. :-)

Thanks!

Using the ultra config file, compared to just maxed out standard settings in MWO, can I expect a drastically lower fps? I don't mind taking a small hit if it means prettier stomps :D

sorry I'm using the 5_ultra_high, regarding the fps I'm not sure where you'll end up, some people have worse fps when using the lowest settings, weird i know. :D start with the ultarhigh and if you find it to be an issue drop back to the high_tweeked

So I see real motion blur (not that ghosting bullocks) is still not working no matter what we try. The game's graphics get worse and worse without any improvement to performance. I can only hope DirectX11 resolves that, but for now the med-high config will have to do.
Works fine as before anyway.

After application "FILM GRAIN REMOVEL", FPS at my configuration (Core i5 4x2.8, GTX480) increased from 50-60 to 80-100.
Thank you!
