When I play assault I base rush them on my spider wait till 2-4 come back and run like hell so my teammates can shred the remaining 4. Some clown was crying about it last night on my team and my clan mates laughed as they took out 4 of there mechs came in to finish off the other 4 and the cry crying had 12 damage.

Protect your cap you losers.

I've heard this whinefest before and it's a pitiful excuse for a team to take all assaults and heavies and camp some remote part of the battlefield. If you were actively attacking the enemy, you'd catch them before they hit your cap.

C-bill farming is necessary until you have the mechs you want. Getting a quick cap cheats EVERYONE in that round of the potential c-bill rewards INCLUDING the winning team. I consider it griefing at the moment. They need to give a real reward or remove the cap point.

The complaining is coming from a BROKEN game type. Currently my workaround for this bug is that I only drop into the 5-cap maps. I recommend everyone who feels like me and the OP only play conquest. If enough of us do this, the message will be clear in the server stats they collect from our games. Actions speak louder than words. :)

Playing the game is not griefing. That is a silly attitude. It's not like you're financially set back by months because a single game ended quickly.

Funny cause when you cap you win the match...Capping the base is to humiliate teams to stupid to (wait for it) Defend their base. Honestly if I'm capping your base and you don't come back to defend it then you just allowed yourself to be capped. So Who is the bigger losers? The folks capping or the folks who ignore Betty's warning???

Maybe in the world before ECM, but we're in the new world now. I hope I have the pleasure of being on a team across from you. I like to do damage to those with poor attitudes who insult fellow mechwarriors.

Not only is there a big red Banner but a sexy voice saying "Base is Being Captured". Don't make excuses for why you team is to lazy to get the fight you say you want sir. The fight is on your base. The Gauntlet had been thrown. You were unwilling to go pick it up!

If the problem is the enemy team capping too often (I'm guessing this is the case) just give the lone wolf players on your team some BS reason telling them you know the players on the other team like to rush cap. Wait near your base and set up a trap. Then you stop the cappers AND get that fight you're after.

Sure, you might wait a bit for that fight but you will get that fight you want and stop those base cappers.

For those who don't know, when pugging, or even 4 manning, if you land on the dropship base on River City and everyone on the team goes bridge or water to upper city, your team WILL lose to a cap. Seen that like a bajillion times.

third whinge about not defending base thread in 48hrs! many people simply can't grasp the tactical play of this game and it's not that hard. DEFEND DEFEND DEFEND!

said it in another thread about xp grinding gives capping the incentive so here it is again...

the threat of a cap adds to battlefield awearness and stratgys to play out, death match will just enforce the blob vs blob factor that's made the game stale. also people who can't defend a base deserves everything they get and the team who out foxes them with such a simple move deserves the xp they need to level up to the dominant min/maxers ASSP. double xp weekend should be a warning, defence will be the key stratagy, you have been warned cap whingers.

When you are in a premade, capping has its place. When I launch solo, I am just an ***** dropping in with 7 other idiots all in mechs we made to do whatever we want to do; scout, brawl, throw lrms at distant red triangles, whatever. We dont make strategies or plans, or even talk most of the time. We have a mighty fine time when kill stuff, and a somewhat less fine time when we die. Then comes along a fellow who cuts our fine time short by standing in the magic red square somewhere. Now I'm sure it makes you feel like a superior, tacticool master strategist to see that victory page pop up and know that was all you. Well good on ya, you just out-chessed the football team. The thing is, the rest of us kinda wanted to play football. With 75 ton hunks of metal. And we kinda see you about the same way we see the kid who told on us for playing in the neighbors yard just because they were losing.

If you weren't playing your football game on a chessboard, you'd almost have a point.

Wouldn't a viable option would be to disable the base caps and voila....Team Destruction....third game type (like in MW4)...those who want to play Basewarrior can. Others that want the fight can. All parties happy and content.
