Agreed new sequence is better than starting into nothing

Reserving judgement on the rest of the patch as 15mins isn't long enough to create a full determination of its effects.

Turns out, they apparently did fix the netcode.
Amazingly, they don't have just one software engineer in the company, who they can only task to do one thing.

no they didn't, lag shield all over the place with my raven

I'll admit that my first reaction was something along the lines of "holy ****. I'm moving. Where are you taking me? Oh, God." But I got used to it, and now my only real complaint is I'd like a couple more seconds before the round starts so I could settle in.

What else are you gonna be doing at that time? Nothing that's what. I'd rather have something going on than just sitting there like a rock.

very useless, could use there time better like fixing the net code
implanting the new promised score board , new map, weapon balance, who dose actually care about a powering up/down sequence that you will see each match and get board really fast
what a wast of dev time

As you and others still don't get this let me say it

The programmers who do graphics like this are not the same guys/girls who would work on netcode. So no time was wasted by making our new eye candy.

And the netcode did receive some tweaks this patch that people say have helped.

Forcing this will alienate certain crowds. Its better to allow users to select in video options whether or not this is a desired effect in the game.

The only thing I wanna be able to do before match starts is set weapon groups.

I enjoy the startup animation but I fear it will get old soon.

Each mech's startup animation is a little different. This one is the Cataphract's:

I couldn't agree more. Forcing people to watch repetitive scenes over and over again will burn our eyes out (IMHO)
Enabling weapon group modifications during idle would be super awesome.

The Startup Sequence is truly AWESOME. Good Job! Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go watch the starup sequence for every one of my Mechs.

I realy like the new start up animaiton showing your mechwarrior powering up their battlemech. The animation made me feel like I was getting ready for battle. I use to play the mechwarrior rpg it, so it gave me a very nice sence of immersion.

Now we just avatar skin choices so we can customize what they look like. Be nice to see faction based uniforms.

Proof that some people will complain about anything. It's better than the previous "do nothing, wait for countdown."

obviously you did not play in the collision era before it was pulled, in the old version of that you loose all control of your camera whilst being forced to watch the 3rd person view of your mech standing up.

in my mind it's better than sitting there looking at a changing number and nothing else.

As far as I understand it, the override is now a toggle sort of system? I've messed around with it a little, and I think a visual indicator on the HUD as to whether override is engaged or not would be really helpful.
