I don't want to see a steep learning curve. I want players to be able to figure out how to and then be able to feel like they're actually getting somewhere.

Easy to learn, hard to master.

Prefer not to ever see 'gold' style ammo, emotes and my GF in this game, ever.

The one thing I dont want to see in mechwarrior online is a reven carrying a NARC beacon with a lance of catapults behind him : | homing beacon on a fast agile scout mech with a lance of one of the best missle support systems in the mechwarrior universe. Over powered

Why? Afraid she will kick your Mech's butt?

Gold ammo is one of the biggies, along with pay to win Mechs, and lock boxes.

For me it would have to be anything post 3060. Battletech peaked at 3050 (i could argue at 3025) and never quite returned to that glory subsequently.

Whiners and people who rage-quit at the start of a match.

Yeah they spoil the match along with scewing the team. I hope there will be a way to report such pilots.

Yeah, wouldn't want to reward teamwork or anything. :)

Pay-to-win. Whether it be guns, ammo, mechs, or anything else that confers a battlefield advantage that non-paying users can never (realistically) get, I don't want to see it. Seen enough of that garbage in other games.

I don't want the gameplay to cater to the mentally deficient. If you want to progress at a reasonable speed then you need to learn how to play well. Don't reward morons.

While some have said they do not want to see combined arms, I would like to see other factors on the battlefield. Obviously not at first, that kind of gameplay would take quite a long time to design, program, and do QA on. Just something that I think would be fun in a year or 2. Many of the units people have made for their "guilds" are based on regiments from the lore that are combined arms units.

The pay to win stuff can be pretty grey, they NEED to incorporate stuff that people will spend the money they need to stay in business. These guys are making this just for the fun of it. It's a business and they have to show a good enough profit to keep investors, publishers etc happy while at the same time paying the dev team salaries, office rent, hardware/software upgrades and maintence. This stuff isn't cheap. If they don't make things in the game that people won't consider paying their money for then it's moot point as the game will be shutdown.

Yes I do agree anything paid for should not be instant win. Anything paid for though does need to have a worthwhile benefit. Maybe something like some premium heatsinks that give a small boost to cooling however due to the nature of the tech they wear out much quicker then standard heat sinks and need to be purchased again. The boost would have to be small enough to not become "absolutely must have to compete" but big enough for "insert your name here" to say Yeah I'll toss a couple bucks for that. That is just an example but from what some of you have said, that would come under pay to win because it gives you an advantage.

Another thing I would like to see (maybe it's already been laid out and having seen it yet) but I would like to see more options for joining a game. As in me and 4 friends wanna play in a match together, we shouldn't have to kick one dude outta the fun cause we can only join as a 3 man group. Obviously there would need to be something to ensure that a 10 man premade doesn't just hop in against 10 randoms tossed together. I think the result of that fight would prolly be decided before it even started. It would be nice to have some flexibility in how you go about playing with your friends.

Edit: Could do without goons taking a dump all over this game as they've done to others.

100% open access to playing the clans.

There should be some kind of trial of placement to 'unlock' the clans.

Haven't finished reading all of this thread yet, but I liked this enough to reply before I forget. An excellent idea and it works imo, given the nature of the Clans and their everything by trials way of life.

Anywho, mainly, I agree with the other posters about no gold ammo- pay to win isn't any fun. My biggest hope is that role warfare works as the devs have mentioned it. As long as we don't end up with everyone running around in the same couple of mechs with the same couple of weapons (which it sounds like this won't happen) I'll be happy.

I don't want to see one singular mech weight/type that just dominates everyone else. I really want to see a strong balance between the weight classes.
